The Lore thread is going to go away, because it is a collection of tid bits and has no order.
Instead, I will be adding a Lore section to our game information and articles will have their own threads, which will people can then browse through and decide what they want to read.
Why are you interested? I will tell you why.
If you have an article, you can submit it for review and IF accepted, you will be paid for your work. If you have a post already in the Lore thread, convert it into an article and yay, get a freebie.
Now, there are some conditions.
I did say article. That means a proper article on the subject matter.
The subject is also very important, as I am very picky about what adds value and what is just unnecessary fluff. If you want to write an article on the chemical composition of Flarb pheremones, then you will be disappointed. Likewise, if you play an oddity that does not recur in the game, or we see often enough as NPCs and such, I am not interested.
I would like articles on things that people are likely to encounter or be involved in. Places, cultures, myths and the like. Feel free to submit your idea before you work on an article and see if I am interested.
Personally, I would like the new Lore thread to touch on some of the more popular cities and towns especially ones that contain some of our characters homelands. I will be working on the Far East myself and possibly the Garou Camp.
Enuyu, I hope this does not stop you from adding your input about the Far East as well. I see you and Kiko coming from vastly different areas in terms of traditions. What you have spoke of in your backgrounds seems very strict whereas Kiko, while still having somewhat of the same rituals, not nearly so. Hex, the same goes for you. Dryad society certainly was not touched on with either of their characters.

I'm happy to build the Far East with you. In my head I see it as a fairly large geographic area with a few sections that are geographically and thus socially isolated; maybe a couple of peninsulas, or a strip of land boxed in by mountains. That's the sort of thing that leads to differentiation in social customs and makes folks identify an area as a country. And yes, I saw the society Enuyu came from as very strict. She should never have existed in it, but for her father she wouldn't have.
Ha HA! I kill you with my flaming sword of doom. You die.
I shall take the Frostlands as that is Zae's homeland and since Kiko has labeled me the site authority on Worgen I naturaly feel inclined to expand upon it. ( hope I did not throw you under the bus Kiko )
As far as anything else goes if I have collective admin approval I wish to tackle the history of Lorne being that once I expressed interest in Lorne Glenn made his character just for that.
Also, if anyone wants any thing done with the races I can help with that as well since I was a small part in the race descriptions.
Check with me before you get too set on Lorne and give me a quick preview of what you have going. The idea is based on a game I am very fond of and you have likely never played, I would like to make sure it's reminiscent of that because I am an old, sentimental fool.
