Grugard Summerstorm took a deep breath as he crested the hill, carrying his staff in his pawed hand. The midday sun was shining and the air was comfortably warm; a distinct contrast to the frosty northlands. The smells of the large town below were carried up on the cool spring breeze and filled his nose.
Here the Worgen could stock up on supplies and rest for a while. He had no coin to pay for the things he needed, so Gru had to find some work first. Perhaps he would make some friends too, he thought as he descended the hill.
::The gate guards met him as he decended the road to town. One of them was quick with a smile. Brushing blonde hair back from his face as he greeted the Worgen.::
"Great morning, is it not? What brings you to town?"
"Good morning. How goes the sentry duty?" Gru pleasantly replied. He even went so far as to offer a hand shake to each of the guards. "My name is Grugard and I have travelled from the north in search of others like myself. Tell me, are there other Worgen in your town of er...what is the name of this town?"
Gru had become geographically confused during his travels and anyway, he didn't know most of the town names in the first place. Living his whole life in one frigid place had left the Worgen unknowledgeable about most of the world.
::The blonde guard shook his hand. The other did as well, but only after a look from the blonde.::
"Name's Gavin. And the town you have found is Wistvale. You'll find we have lots of different kinds of people here. Including Worgen. We even had one as our Captain there for a bit. Hope he returns...
Anyway... Can I point you in the right direction?"
Gru was happy to hear that other Worgen could be found here in town. In fact, Wistvale sounded like a melting pot of races and the wolf was eager to check it out.
"Where would you suggest a traveller like myself should go first?"
No need for the docks, but the tavern might be a good starting point; the Worgen didn't drink but it would be a good place to meet the locals. The merchant area was where he needed to go but without sufficient coin it would only be window shopping.
"I think I'll just wander around for a while. Familiarize myself with your fine town."
He would eventually need to find a place to stay, although the wolf had spent plenty of times sleeping rough so it wasn't a pressing issue.
