Glowing orange and yellow, the sky awakens for it's sleep as the sun slowly rises. The air around is still fresh with cool humidity. The lamps and light posts go off while citizens slowly flow out into the streets. The hour is still early for the town to come fully alive as the towns folk prepare their shops to open. Though it's a good morning for the man standing idly in the streets. The man brimming with color quietly watches the town come to life. He has no short term goals to complete for the day, nor any general plans for his futur yet. Maybe he'll find a job to healing others at a clinic, or join a gathering of people who need the man's skill sets.
He only just arrived the night before, so it'll be the first time for the man to explore the town in the day. He wonders what kind of people he'll meet. Though with so much to do, the man can only stand in place unsure where to go first.

"Lost?" A young man, standing almost as tall as Elijah, asked in passing; his brand new clothes dark and gothic in contrast to the silvery-white of his hair.

Elijah turns after hearing a voice aimed towards him. His eyes land on a clean and well fashioned young man. The two met eye to eye perfectly, hey Elijah's drift, exploring the person's appearance. He looks rather handsome and much more mature than Elijah could ever imagine. His shyness always gets the better of him, making him act like such a child at times. He sees the man as a braver soul, confident in himself to talk to a stranger like himself so easily. Not only that but willing to help with him thinking Elijah as lost.
"Uh"
Of course Elijah is the opposite of what he thinks of this stranger as. Sure he's thrilled to meet new faces, but he lacks the discipline to straight out talk. Swallowing his tongue is probably is greatest talent. It's such a waste with the man knowing so many languages. Though it's hard to believe that he's so fluent in all if them when he can barely talk to another.
"Uuummm"
Humiliating is the best word to describe it. The man closes his eyes briefly to imagine himself being kicked in the rear end. It's a new start in a new town and he already can't say a word. What will others think of him when gossip goes around. Will he be that incompetent linguistic with the pretzel tied tongue like a village once called him? Though if he doesn't say a word of it, they just might brush it off. He does have his power to heal to fall back on, no one can deny him on that. Sure he needs to sing a few words to heal another, but he feels no shame in that. It's only when another person strikes up a conversation that all the man can say is,
"Uh"
With his eyes looking in another direction, the man can start to muster up a words to say.
"N-no, I-I'm not lost."
Not lost at all, the man is just standing around like a fool waiting for something to happen, something like this. This stranger probably knows the town well enough that he could know of a place Elijah may work at. If only the man could talk like a normal being.

Ely was on something of a mission. She had decided early during the first hours of the new year to spend at least two days a week at the House of Galena. It did not matter what she did or whether they had her cutting up bandages or stitching a fresh wound. The local House was very short handed and they could use the help.
Her library still needed sorted and cleaned but that was a goal that would last her a good long while. Since the incident with the books Ely felt a sense of obligation to Galena's chapter house. They had healed Kiga's burns after all. So it was that a few days after her trek in the freshly fallen snow that Ely found herself on Wistvale's streets. And so it was that she happened upon a man wearing one of the most colorful outfits she had ever seen holding a conversation with a white haired fellow in black.
Well, it seemed to be a conversation. Sorta. Ely wasn't quite sure. Still, her boundless curiosity took her closer to the pair and her garrulous demeanor urged her to speak.
"Hi! It's a wonderful morning, don't you think?"

Well, it was good to know the young fellow wasn't lost. But he did seem to be a little...peculiar, to say the least, and colorfully dressed. Perhaps he was just special.
"Ok, I'll leave you to-"
Tauer was about to continue on his stroll, to get breakfast for Nissa and Joff, when a Cathian girl called out a morning greeting . The demon prince could not remember seeing her before in town, but she came across as a very friendly person.
"Good morning, indeed."

Elijah jumps back a bit from the sudden hello. He wasn't expecting anyone to hop in and talk like the cathian did. The man looks at the cat eared woman, captured by her spring green eyes, bright and beautiful. However, his shyness takes the best of him making him turn away.
"Uh ye-yes, yes it is."
Now with two aware of his presence, Elijah is getting more and more self-conscious. It's moments like these that he wishes he knows a better way to talk. But before he swallows his tongue back down this throat, he gives out a few more words.
"The air is ra-rather r-refreshing and the su-sunrise is beautiful."
Though his eyes are still adverting for the others, he feels a little pride in his effort of speaking.
Tauer [M:150:160:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=540&page=1#18960]While the Light's away, the Shadows will play.
The demon prince had to ask the question that was going through his mind, otherwise he was just going to be left wondering.
"Are you alright?"
Did this guy, with the red and white feathers in his hair, have speech problems or was he just a sufferer of extreme shyness? Either way, Tauer had never met anyone quite like him.

Ely flashed a smile at the colorfully dressed man. The sunrise was beautiful and one of her favorite times. It was only eclipsed by sunset during which the orange and golden red of the sky made her feel as if she was standing inside one of her fireballs.
She had turned her face up to enjoy the sight, too, and consequently missed the sentence the other man had spoken. Oh, she heard him say something but the words went right past her twitching ears and fluttered away.
She glanced back at the two men.
"What enterprise does your day hold?"
Ely addressed them both and hoped she wasn't being too forward or that her curiosity did not come off as intrusive.

"Out to grab my friends and I something to eat." The cat girl was being rather inquisitive for this time of the morning. Several months ago, Tauer would have been defensive and highly suspicious of anyone trying to take an interest in his activities, but now, having made a handful of friends and acquaintances in Wistvale, the demon prince just smiled and returned the question.
"What about you, miss? Going anywhere nice?"

Though it's still soon to tell, Elijah is starting to get a bit comfortable with the two. Sure his speech impairment caused by his shyness won't be cured any time soon, but at least he's managed to let out a few words. Once you can start a little conversation, it's a little easier to talk verse having an awkward silence. Standing strong with good thoughts in mind, Elijah is than shot down by a question.
Alright?
Is it the way the man is talking? Though Elijah finds his speech just fine, daring in fact. Though it seems to others that there's something not alright with the man.
"N-no, I...I'm alright"
His posture slopes down as his fading confidence escapes him. Just when he was feeling better about himself talking too. Elijah notices the woman looking away as well, noticing his words just earlier.
Maybe there is something wrong.
The man clocked in colors now watches the two easily striking up a conversation. The white haired man responds to the cathian's question with such nonchalant ease. Completely different to the way Elijah stumbles on words as he tries to stutter out his thoughts and trying not to forget to breath.
Though a speed impairment does seem like an issue.
Lost in his thoughts, Elijah simply watches the other two with eyes of envy.

Ely gave both men another cheerful smile. She was in an inordinately good mood, and who wouldn't be with the sun just peeking over the horizon and the freshly waking day offering any number of possibilities. She had just met two brand new people she had never seen before, too.
"Nice? Well, it can be a nice place."
The House of Galena was very soothing.
"I'm headed to Galena's House. In case they need some help."
It must be said here that beneath Ely's wild inquisitiveness and contrary to her size; which was small even for a Cathian, beat a sizable heart. Not that she had ever been cruel or even a petty child, like many of her race she could not abide persecution or intimidation. While she could be, at times, extremely hot-headed and opinionated; Ely loved to listen to people and she had exceptional ears.
Which is why she heard the lack of confidence in the colorful man's voice. It was why she realized that he was shy. It was why she immediately jumped to the thought that he wore such a colorful set of clothing to boost his spirit. Which is why she favored him with another smile and hoped it allayed the sudden panic that flashed in his eyes when he spoke.

Was Galena some well-known person in Wistvale? Tauer had never heard the name before and the cathian girl spoke with the assumption that everyone would know. Perhaps the demonkin had not been hanging out in the right places in town.
Dani entered the town of Wistvale for the first time, dusty and dirty from the long trek from her home. She paused after entering the gate to step to the side and clean the mud from the soles of her boots and think about what had brought her here.
The Elders had given her a task. They had felt the time had come for her to leave their small village for the world outside to continue her training and growth.
They had suggested Wistvale as a place to begin, for its wide collection of people, but also for the local chapter of the House of Galena. She had been instructed to seek them out and offer her services to them. She was not a great Healer. She only knew a few tricks of the wild, meant more to last the person till better care was found than to actually cure. However, she had grown up in an elven community and knew the importance of nature, and the worship of the goddess. And even Healers needed defending from time to time.
So once she was finished, she strode further into town, trying to find some way to locate the local Shrine when she heard the name Galena mentioned by a group of people in the street and moved over to them.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but I heard someone mention the House of Galena. Would one of you be so kind as to point me in the right direction to find them?"

(Apologies if I've posted out of order. It should be Elijah's turn. I'm hoping to keep this going, though.)
Ely twisted around when she heard the new voice join them. The elf looked dusty, tired and Ely did not recognize her. Of course, she did not know everyone in town; not by a long shot. Even Kiga, who had eyes everywhere might have missed her with the influx of new people every day. She was beautiful, of that there was no doubt. Ely was quite envious of her sunshine-colored hair. But, envious or not, Ely smiled at her all the same.
"I was just about to explain to these gentleman who or rather what the House of Galena is, miss. Would you like to join us? Afterwards I can show you where the House is, I was headed that way."

"I would be most greatful. I find I get turned around when inside a city such as this."
Which was odd to her considering how at home she was in the wild. But perhaps it was because of that attunement to nature that she always felt so cut off within city walls.
"My name is Dani."
She wipes her gloved hand on her pant leg before offering it to the Cathian.
