The small home could hardly be called that. The windows were dirty and cracked to the point where it was difficult to see more then hulking masses within. The roof sagged slightly, but it kept Serafyna and her collection dry. The door was a solid slab of yew or ash, light color, and always unlocked. When it opened a small bell above filled the room with a faint welcoming ring. A small rug of beige sat by the door, a few shades lighter then the wood flooring that was old and lifting in some places.
To the left of the door sat an old desk, one side held up by a brick. A few sheets of paper sat on top, as well as a quill and ink pot, and recent writing on the paper dictated recent 'borrowers' of Serafynas collection Speaking of which, the section of desk where the papers sat was just one of a few (for there were a few mismatched stools and such about the room) pieces of furniture not holding a book. Some had come from the womens own travels, but many were donations of locals, books people were just going to throw out that she had saved.
There was quite a few books along the floors, some open and some bookmarked in the center of the room. At the back wall, opposite the front door was a short ladder leading to a loft just big enough for Serafynas bed, a pile of blankets, and of course more books. There was no place to cook, so Serafyna often went to visit her neighbors to borrow their ranges in exchange for sharing some of the meal.

Ivy had been wandering around the small village wondering what she could do. She sighed and thought back to when she still lived with her parents, in her old village. For old times sakes, Ivy decided to go see if there was a bookstore to look around in, even though she didnt like books much. She would much rather live the adventures then read about them. She began to look around carefully, looking for signs that would point her to a bookstore, and smiled to herself when she saw the actual store. Adjusting the bow on her back and pushing hair out of her face, she walked up to the door and puched it open, letting herself inside and glancing around bofore letting the door go and walking in the shop. "Hello? Is anyone here?" She called, taking a few more steps into the mess.

Serafyna had been lying next to a precarious pile of books, caught up and distracted from her cleaning again. The sudden entrance made her jump, elbow knocking the pile. Books flopped across her stomach, and a particularily heavy one winded her. A gasp and a small squeek escaped as she pulled a lighter one off her face and stood up, wobbling slightly. "J- J- just a *wheeze* minute!" she gasped, catching her breath.
Once she had succeeded she busied herself by putting the pile back in order, not glancing over. "Is there a- anything specific your l-" she broke off as she stood, looking at Ivy. Her heart leapt into her throat and she couldn't breath. Her ears lay back in shock.
Ivy stopped dead in her tracks, about to ask if the librian was ok, when she stopped in front of her. Its a good thing Ivy wasnt holding anything, because she would have dropped it as she looked at the person in front of her. Ivy stared for a moment before she took a hesitant step forward. "S..Sera?" She looked stunned, looking into the face of her old friend. "Is that really you?" She took another step forward to get a better look, her eyes wide, with a hopeful look in them.

Serafyna's eyes shimmered with emotion. "M- miss I- Ivy..." she croaked, voice thick. She immediatly felt the urge to throw herself in the other girls arms, but she hesitated. So many questions. Why was she here? What happened? Did she hate her? and the boys... the bodies... Unbidden the memories resurfaced, ones she'd buried for so long.
Ivy attempted to give her old friend a scolding look, but it didnt work too well. "I told you, dont call me miss Ivy." She said, and looked at her friend before rushing over to her to wrap her arms around the older girl. "Sera! Oh, its so good to see you again! Ive missed you so much!" Ivy struggled to not cry, and she managed not to. Her arms were tight around her friend.

Sera was not so controlled. The feeling of her friends arms about her broke the dam, and she fell into silent, shuddering sobs, clinging to the girl like one would an older sister. "I- I- I- Im S- s- s- so s- sorry!"
Ivy tightened her hold on Sera, hugging her tightly. "Its ok...its ok." She said softly, much like she had before when they lived in the same village. "Whats done is done. Its ok." She felt overjoyed she had found her friend, whom she had thought she would never see again.

Serafyna nodded, hiccuping. She took a deep breath, inhaling the scent she thought she'd never smell again, a scent of home that had no dependancy on location, a scent she had burned into her memory and, every once in a while, spun about because her nose had illusioned her with it. Maybe not.. She pulled back slowly, and her tail twitched with joy, a slow graceful movement. Her ears had perked up, and a smile that she couldn't hold back graced her lips. "Im so... so h- happy to see you a- again miss Ivy-"
Ivy beamed at the older girl who had been like a sister to her, and then quickly changed it to a scowl that wasnt serious. "I told you...dont call me Miss Ivy. Its just Ivy." She smiled again. "Now you need to tell me what youve been doing in the past 2years."

Ivy gave the girl a bewildered look. "Not too much? Thats it?" She crossed her arms. "We havent seen each other in two years, and in that time, you havent done much?" She gave Sera a disbeliving look. "What brings you here?"

Serafyna shrugged faintly at her accusation. She looked thoughtful. "I met with Mr. Black and... stayed with him for awhile...." she studied a book, flipped through its pages and placed it aside. "Then I came home one day and... he was gone. No note, no explination... so I... I d- decided to go on my own... A few b- boats and hitchhiking later... I... ended u- up here...."
Ivy studied her friend. "Well, Im glad youre here. I didnt think I would ever see you again, although I had hoped I would." She looked around for a place to sit but decided it was safer to stand. "Did Mister Black help you with your..problem?" Ivy thought back to the last day she had seen her older friend, the day Sera left.
