Ivy was getting rather bored. She hated standing around, nothing to do, waiting for the dventure to start. She sighed, looking around at all the people there. She wondered who she should go say hi to. Hummm. Maybe no one for right now. Instead, she asked a question that was spinning around in her head. "When can we get started?" She really was getting imaptient.
The cat merely chuckled, then blinked his eyes lazily.
"Hatchling I am not, for such a thing is unknown to me."
The communication was cut short as Tabitha cleared her throat, eyeing the cat.
"Yes...yes yes yes. Getting started is a wonderful idea, no go!....shoo!"
She hopped off her stool and began walking away, the cat giving a slight, but audible growl. At the sound of it she turned, face red.
"WHAT?! They know what to get now they can bugger off to do the job at hand!"
She paused for a bit, staring intently at the cat. After a few moments her mood swiftly changed, and she began to laugh.
"Oh, silly me.....how rude....tell you to get things and not even say where!"
She began digging around behind the counter and produced a small map. She pointed to an area just north of Wistvale. The name Lorne scratched into the map.
"Around this city you will find most of the ingredients in the near-by woods. However, the orchid.....the orchid grows on the peaks of the neighboring mountains. thus the reason I need you hardy folk. Because I am in no shape to be climbing mountains...I mean who sends elderly to climb peaks? NO ONE! Thats who!"
She cackled again, nearly falling from her stool.
"Well, now you know where to go, see you when you get back, if you make it back that is."

The name had a familiar ring to it... Aegil peeked at the map and paled visibly, and this time when she leaned on her staff it was for real. So close, over half the distance.. Just outside the pass. If she went it would be only a mountain range seperating herself from... him. And even that they would have to climb.
But if she backed out now it would look far too suspicious. She would just have to be as incognito as possible. Aegil closed here eyes and kept her face dipped to hide her expression beneath her hair and hood.

Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely was getting flustered or was already flustered. Lorne. Would the famous Dragonriders swoop down off the mountains while they were gathering herbs? What if they didn't care for other people in their area? Would the dragons breathe fire? Ely did not know, having never been to Lorne. She certainly knew about the Dragonriders; everyone did.
The Cathian was not sure what to think about this trip, either. She expected Tabitha to head the expedition. Were they suppose to go out alone? Well, truth tell that suited Ely quite a bit more than a group of them all. She was sure the impatient girl called Ivy would be a disaster waiting to happen and the metal mage was irritating in the extreme with his constant questions. She did not know the other two girls at all, though their quiet behavior was rather strange. In fact, Ely was certain the cat-like one hadn't spoken a word.
Ely shot another glance at the familiar. She thought as hard as she could, too.
"Do you have a name?"
She said the words in her head instead of outloud.
Catgirl Extraordinaire
“Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.”
Ely rocked back on her heels, somehow managing to control her elation. It had worked. She'd spoken to a familiar. Well, she wasn't sure he was a familiar, but still, he'd spoken back. Her consternation grew a little bit more, though, she had forgotten to ask what his name was while trying to control her thoughts. Foolish girl.
She curbed her rampant curiosity and only asked one thing more. She would have to return to Tabitha's store after gathering the ingredients. Perhaps they could have a longer conversation then. Perhaps they could be friends. Ely quite liked that idea.
"I'm Ely, Sir. Ely Ventisette. What is your name?"
Again she said it in her head looking directly at the cat.
Catgirl Extraordinaire
“Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.”
She tried it one more time. Though, speaking with her mind was making her head ache. Still, it was amazing and Palanar the most interesting... person... cat... she had run across in a long time.
"Hello, Palanar and thank you. Could we talk again? After I retrieve the herbs your lady friend requested?"
It never hurt to ask, right? And he might even say yes. Please, let him say yes. Ely's heartbeat was fluttering all over, like a butterfly trapped inside a glass jar.

::Neko nodded to the cat on the counter even as she spoke to it again in her head...
I'm sorry for my staring, good cat. You just remind me of my own kind, so I was curious. I...
She broke off her thought as the loctation was revealed to them as to where they must go to retrieve the goods the old woman wanted. She had never heard of this town, so she knew of nothing to worry about.
SHRUG
Seems pretty straight forward to me.
She spoke in her head to no one in particular before lokking back up to the cat...
Is there anything she's not telling us, that we should know? ::
During her travel on the way to Wistvale from her old village, Ivy had heard a little of the place. She slowly started to grin, knowing that there was a chance of danger in Lorne. She had never actually heard what it was, but she didnt really care. Danger was danger, and danger meant an adventure, and Ivy loved adventures. The only problem was...she had very little knowledge of herbs. Oh well. "This is going to be fun!" She said out loud, hoping the others would seem more excited like her.
"Yes, fun...fun for everyone! Well assuming yuo don't die because dying is no fun, unless you prefer that kind of thing. But then again only the crazy people like and want to die...."
She trailed off. The cat on the counter seemed ot roll it's eyes at the ranting of the old woman. It looked to Neko.
"Odd that I do, we are nothing alike you and I. Same goes for the Cathian girl."
He said in turn.
"It would seem the young one is eager to depart, it might be a good thing to. Farewell."
He said as he jumped down behind the counter, vanishing from sight.
::Neko gave a shrug and turned to head for the door. Her head down as she pondered the implications of the "cat's" response, or lack there of. Was he simply done speaking? Or was he avoiding the subject of whether information was being held back? If the second were the case, she would have to be prepared for this to be anything but a simple "Fetch" mission... ::
Silent as a shadow on padded feet...

Aegil followed after in her limping gait, frowning at the thought of running so close to the pass. And what was more, were they to go it alone or as a group? She wasn't quite sure, but she wasn't about to pipe up. She kept her head down and listened to the others.
Revenge is a knife you point to your own heart It's a poisoned dish you wind up eating yourself...
Ivy clapped her hands together excitedly. Ohh they were finally going to leave! Finally. One thing though.."How long will it take us to get there? And do we walk or is there wagons for us?" She hoped there were wagons, it would make the trip faster and she could get on with trying to find some kind of adventure.
