::Neko's look softened a bit at the Captains pleading. Didn't she have to suffer similarly with her use of Shadow Magick? She never used it for evil, yet she would no doubt be lumped in with that group should her skill ever be discovered by the wrong person.
She stepped back from the edge of the hole and motioned for the Captain and his crew to climb out while she considered what to do. She was torn. The right thing to do according to the law would be to turn them in, where they would most likely be executed for their crime. But would she not then be doing the exact thing she lived in fear of happening to her?
SIGH
She knew enough about death to know that the bodies were just objects now. That they held nothing of the person they once were. It was the spirit that lived on. So she was not concerned with meddling with the peace of the dead. It was the thoughts of the families of those bodies that were taken that gave her the most pause. The tears and saddness that discovering the graves disturbed would bring them. This would be so much easier if the bodies came from another source...
Still somewhat distracted by her thoughts, she drew her sword from her back and used it to point along a path that led towards one of the gates that bordered the cemetary. She still had not made up her mind, but hopfully she would by the time they all reached the gate.
She wished her family was here... Father would no doubt take the Captain up on his offer in exchange for something. But he wasn't here. She wasn't sure what her aunt or uncle would do, but she would have welcomed their guidance had they been with her. ::
