Grayell smacked his lips and then hocked, clearing his throat. He looked like he'd drunk every drop of liquor in town only to be hit by a train. Which still didn't exist yet. He stretched out his arms, but the groan was not or relief but pain.
Skulduggery? Lives in the graveyard right? Yeah, not in a hurry to go back there just yet....
Grayell rolled his eyes and even that hurt.
But you said what? You wanted to learn how to use a sword?
Grayell nods and grins. He looks Zane up and down, seems to study him for a minute. Then another pain kicks in somewhere an he hisses and moves to try and remedy it. It doesn't work
Yeah. So an clue who you're going to have teach you?
Grayell made is way home with the new addition to the guard, one Margrett Mikael. He had offered her his residence as a place to stay whilst she got settled in town. He'd been raised to share his camp with strangers on the trail and his camp was now his home. He'd sleep by the fire or if she'd prefer, the store to lend her her privacy.
He opened the door, the fire was out. It was a gorgeous night though and he'd offered to run her a bath. He'd likely take one after she was done, he certainly needed it.
Come on in and excuse the mess. The place is a little rough but it's enough. I haven't the knack to renovate so I just make do.
I don't mind it. After any barn or shed you can find, you start to accept anything you can find. She walked in, looking around at the meager furnishing, and stopped in front of the fire, looking at the floor. She gave a small chuckle.
Grayell looked at it, his face obviously somewhat uncomfortable.
Ah... yeah, it is. Long story. Ummm shit. How about you just take a seat and I get things situated. It'll be a minute.
Grayell hadn't considered the mess. The blood on the floor, the bed, get a bath going... shit. Time to get into action.
Grayell hastily pushed a seat toward her and then scooped up the rugs in front of the fireplace. He ducked outside, threw them into a crate and then came back in. He immediately prodded in the fire and luckily enough, found a few meager coals. He grabbed some tinder from beside the fire place and with practiced ease, blew the fire to life. He broke down some simple kindling, stacked some medium timber upon it and let it do it's own thing.
Alright, fire won't take too long. Be right back.
Grayell walked into the bedroom and immediately stopped. The bed was damn near destroyed. He tapped his fingers on the door frame, trying to come up with something... before he kicked out the head of the bed and let the mats drop to the floor. Apparently, he now had a futon. He flipped the top matress, yanked the sheet and blanket off and tossed those toward what passed for a kitchen.
He grabbed some quick covers from a beat up cupboard and threw them on the bed haphazardly. Grabbing the removed cover and blanket, they were soon in the same crate as the furs. He stopped, took a quick breathe and then headed back inside, trying to look composed. At least the fire had caught and was growing warm.
Bloody hell. That was worse than I remembered. Sorry about that. Heh.

Grayell unfolding another fur but stopped as she took a verbal shot at him. He stood up and walked over to the fire.
Well I wouldn't know miss, but why don't you tell me? Do you usually take the tip or leave it hm?
His grin was a stab in itself, but it was still just a joke. Give and receive. He tossed the fur into her lap.
That is sure to keep you plenty warm. I am going to draw you that bath now. It'll be a while before it heats of course. If you're in need of something more comfortable, I am sure I can find you something.
Now, when you're done, let me know. I'd like to clean up myself. Per your demands though, you won't see me after that. I can manage in the shop front, made do with worse.
Grayell shrugged. Seems he had another rug, he needed something to keep warm with. The store front was hardly cosy.
None needed. I'd rather you rest somewhere with a fire and some semblence of a home. Beats sleeping in an alley or some other damn thing. Been there and done that enough time to know. If you need anything else, you just let me know.
Oh - and I know you'll refuse but you're welcome to stay as long as you like. I'll clean up tomorrow and try to make it less.... er.... well disturbing.
He shot her a wink and went outside to tend to the bath.
