Grayell laughed then, he was endlessly impressed with how fast and agile she had become. She could outpace him now, maybe only barely but still, her physical prowess was astounding. Far from threatened though... no he found it incredible in many, sometimes exotic ways.
You have to be careful though, I tend to bite back after all.
Kiko dropped beneath the surface of the water. She slipped into the dark only to come up behind him. The water gave her away, but she wasn't trying to knock him over anyway. Instead she rested her chin on his shoulder as he was wont to do to her.
So do I.

“Put some clothes on, you weird, yellow-eyed, table-dancing, werewolf-training, cryptic, stare-me-right-in-the-eyes-and-don't-even-blink wench.”
Grayell bobbed in the water then with her latched to his back, his hands pressing out in lazy strokes, his legs lazily kicking to keep him afloat. He turned a wet nose to her cheek and rested there for a moment....
A long moment. Moments like these were magic to him and he treasured them as he treasured her. Amidst a life of battle, politics and constant unending drama, she brought him peace. He wanted nothing in this world more than to do that for her.
His head shifted a little, nuzzling against her skin and he whispered.
Kiko rested on his back and shoulders. She was small enough to even manage to stay somewhat dry, though when he kicked and turned; the water lapped over his hip and splashed her.
She reached a hand out to tangle it up in his hair, the other trailing off his shoulder and into the lake. It was so very quiet here, just the sound of water and his voice reached her ears.
You mean you'd just stand there and let me catch you?

“Put some clothes on, you weird, yellow-eyed, table-dancing, werewolf-training, cryptic, stare-me-right-in-the-eyes-and-don't-even-blink wench.”
Grayell grinned and lifted a hand to touch her cheek gently. His head rubbed into her hand now, she had a knack for finding every pleasurable spot on his neck and head, which enjoyed immensely.
I'd just stand there and let you do anything.
That elicited a chuckle of course, and he turned then to kiss the side of her delicate face.
Kiko wiggled her hand until she found the skin of his neck through his hair. She scratched him in a dozen places while he turned to touch her. He probably would just stand there and let her catch him. Kiko flipped over a full turn after the kiss and slid into the water.
And he was right, if he did; it wouldn't be any fun at all.

Grayell smiled softly as his arm pulled him away then, gliding on his side, strong legs kicking gently and propelling him a little deeper into the lake. He turned with gentle strokes of his arms in the water and then sunk below the surface, then came up, hands sweeping the wet hair from his face.
He licked the water running down his lips and watched her, she was as an ethereal nymph in the moonlit water.
Kiko had turned on her back. She was staring up at the stars and kicking through the water with small, regular strokes. Her mind was empty of any worries at the moment, the quiet lake and his presence enough.
Mmh?
She was loathe to break the stillness, too.

His smile was always self assured. Always confident and either sincere or deliberate, cunning or flirtatious. But now... it was almost a little awkward. No less sincere of course, but he his words had weight; regardless of how simple they were. His voice was known only to her, soft and intimate, devoid of his regular bold demeanor.
I love that you love me Yukiko.
He bobbed in the water, it lapping at him gently as he stayed above the surface.
Kiko's feet fell. She halted in the water then swam back closer to him. The quiet moments; the ones where they were the only ones in the world around them she treasured immensely. It gave her strength, balance, and secured the bond between them.
Kiko wrapped her arm around his wet shoulder and her eyes softened when she looked up at him.
You are easy to love Anata.

Grayell's hands know her hips and find them in the dark water, palms settling on her cool, wet skin. His thumbs stroke without thought, his affections for her are instinctual. He looks into her and feels her seeing him, his smile unable to do anything but linger. He manages a whisper.
Mo chuisle mo chroi.
He presses his forehead to hers as he always shall and kicks subtly, spinning them, entwined bodies moving as one in the water.
Kiko gave a sigh that released the last of the tension created by the chase. His voice always changed with those words, the faint roll of the r was not something she heard any other time. She dragged her thumb across his lip and then quick as a water slick otter slithered out of his grasp and disappeared beneath the lake's surface.
When she reappeared a few minutes later she was several yards away and her head was just barely visible.
Come Wolf, follow me.

“Put some clothes on, you weird, yellow-eyed, table-dancing, werewolf-training, cryptic, stare-me-right-in-the-eyes-and-don't-even-blink wench.”
Grayell nodded and then lifted a hand, reaching to then scoop below and drag him forward in the water. He rolled at his hips and his feet kicked like a frog headed for shore, sudden, strong strokes to follow her. Water lapped against his chin with each new stroke, his eyes on her and the night silent around them.
Kiko headed back to the lake's edge and Grayell's earlier fire. She wasn't trying to make it a race, and his longer arms and stronger body cut the distance quickly. By the time they reached the shore again she was breathing hard and her arms felt as if they were limp noodles.
She climbed out of the water rubbing both of them.
It has been too long.
Kiko gave a wry glance back at the midnight colored lake.

Grayell stepped from the water slowly, his head low and hair flowing with water. He walked up behind her, cold and wet of course, but pressed himself to her back, his arms winding about her waist. His head came to one side, his chin at her shoulder. His eyes looked to hers and then at the fire. His mood needed few words, touch meant so much more and made the moments between words entirely fulfilling, enchanting.
Should I warm you up? Come, lay by the fire.
He slipped from her and a hand grasped at her hand. He walked the few steps to the fireside and then settled to the ground without noise, a fluid, graceful motion. He had turned to look at her, resting on his hip, hand holding his upper half from the ground still.
