Margrett looked at him a moment, blinking in the dark, then laughed in an exasperated sort of way.
Don't change, Gray. Aren't you....married or something? You should stop ogling cute blue girls. Won't give you any points with the missus.
She sat on the other seat and shook her head. She was exhausted, not as much as he was, probably, but still tired. The internal emotional struggle she'd had a was a fleeting, if disturbing memory.
Whoever it is we're going to see has a lot of kissing up to do.
Grayell closed his eyes and his head settled back now, his hands resting on his chest.
You took your kit off miss. And sorry if complementing you is a bad idea. I've seen them plenty. It's almost like we grew up as siblings and used to take baths together.
He chuckled, he was being a smart ass at least.
Anyways. You and the twins figure out how we share this one blanket then. Or I can sleep outside.
But yeah. This is only going to get worse I imagine.
Margrett had her cape still. It was slightly damp, but it could serve as a blanket. She shrugged and pulled it around her shoulders, smirking a little.
I'm fine with this. I wouldn't want you to feel uncomfortable sleeping beside another woman.
I didn't suggest we practice making children Margrett. I suggested we share the only damn blanket we have on a brutally cold night. Besides, I'm too bloody tired to give a damn....
Grayell already had his back to her but she was being her usual stubborn self. He sat up and after drawing the larger, warmer and NOT WET blanket over her, he laid back down, his hand on his arm. Now he was warming her at least. He yawned again, shuffled to get comfortable.
She was quiet a moment, wiggling uncomfortably before settling in.
Night, Gray.
She was a awake for a while before sleep took her, thinking. She was glad she'd been able to help Grayell, but...his answers to her questions made her uncomfortable....and jealous. She sighed and closed her eyes, trying to swallow the feelings. It worked, sort of. Even though Grayell was right behind her, she suddenly felt very alone.
Grayell opened weary eyes to look at the roof of the cabin. Daylight had it illuminated, only barely through the shade and he was warm. He sighed rather than yawned just yet, shifted his head and closed his eyes once more.
The cabin was moving, at a normal pace. The rain had stopped. He didn't want to get up yet.
Grayell's eyes widened when he realized... that wasn't Kiko. He was damn well naked from the most part as was she; and now she was holding him and pressed into his neck... oh shit why did it have to be the neck...
He bit his lip and thought on this for a moment. He didn't want to startle her, the poor thing had had a rough night. He didn't want to wake her either, she needed her sleep and well, she was sleeping really well apparently.
A tinge of nervousness crept into Gray, this was a really.... odd situation to be in. It meant nothing, surely she'd just absently decided to cuddle him in her sleep. She had no clue he was even here. And he was her friend... I mean sure, they've had their moments but as a friend well, cuddling was ok...
... or not. Not naked. Not when the two of them had lovers in their lives. Yeah... bad situation. Crap she was cute though.
He laughed then, just a little. He didn't move though - he hadn't figured out just how to yet.
She stirred a little, nuzzling into his neck. She mumbled something softly.
Stop...Joran...
After a moment she smiled wide, pulling her head back and slowly opening her eyes. They were open a moment before her smile fell and she took in a sharp breath, darting backward a bit. She blushed deeply, her cheeks almost turning purple when she pulled the blanket around her shoulders, staring at him a moment.
I...I didn't...mean to... She blinked, looking away, to the bed.
Grayell laughed then, not too loudly and not too much, but enough to express his comfort. He folded his arms behind his head and looked at her, smiling.
Don't be silly. You weren't dreaming about me. So what, you cuddled up to me in the cold. We were both out of it, nothing happened otherwise and shit, we're best friends. It happens....
Ok. So maybe it doesn't happen but well, it did. And it was harmless. You're cute when you're bashful though.
Heh. Teasing her had to be the best way to show it was ok. Crap happened, nothing was done. No harm, no foul.
Grayell shook his head and rolled to his front then, rubbing his eyes. He looked at her again, she was taking this too seriously and his expression said as much.
Marg. It wasn't my name on your lips alright? Let it go. So you hugged me. Big deal, right?
