Finally! Someone that recognized the man they were looking for. Solena nodded to Charlotte and stayed by her side as they began to walk towards the town again. The cathian did not seem like a threat at all, but Solena kept an eye on him. Cathians are known to be pretty fast and agile.
Chaz seemed to defy Solena's expectations even as he gathered up the boxes, clumsily dropping some when he tried to stack them again. There was obviously metal in the boxes, or a lot of metal things.
One...second...lemme just...
A good scientist is a person with original ideas. A good engineer is a person who makes a design that works with as few original ideas as possible.
The boxes were full of metal scraps and objects. looking like they were from a junkyard. Chaz blushed and gathered them up, reluctantly letting Solena carry a few.
It's...it's nothing. Just some totally useless junk. For some experiments.
A good scientist is a person with original ideas. A good engineer is a person who makes a design that works with as few original ideas as possible.
Once Charlotte knew it was metal junk and not something flashy or valuable like treasure, she lost interest completely, rotating her hand in an impatient gesture.
"If you want t' tag along, then I hope you can keep up carryin' those boxes"
She kept walking, the first place on her search list was the council building which wasn't difficult to spot. At the front door Charlotte banged her fist against it, knocking three times.
The door opened after a moment and a man stood in the door frame. He was a large brute, though more athletic than just barrel chested and had obviously seen more than a few scrapes in his time. His chest was bare, smothered in sweat and grime - and a large cotton sash was tied like an oversized bandanna on his head. It dropped down his back in a flap, covering his hair of all things. How very convenient... but not the first time he had done this in game. He rather liked it in fact so ner.
But he wiped his eyebrow down to his cheek clean of sweat, his breath a little heavy. One hand held a mop. Apparently he was busy cleaning. Or something. He looked Charlotte up and down, then Solena - and then Chaz who looked just a little lost for words. His eyes narrowed when he saw Chaz, something wasn't right here.
Chaz, behind Charlotte and Solena, panicked a little, making a cutting motion along his throat then pointing frantically to Charlotte. In between that he gathered up his boxes and managed to carry most of them, looking nervously in between Gray and Charlotte.
A good scientist is a person with original ideas. A good engineer is a person who makes a design that works with as few original ideas as possible.
Solena placed the few boxes she had helped Chaz with on the ground and waited for Charlott to respond to the large man before them. Is this the guy they have been looking for all this time? She would look away at times, trying not to look at the shirtless man.
Grayell caught her squirm... and as Chaz had indicated this was a volatile situation, he intended to pull at any loose string on this pairs armor.
He set the mop aside, leaning on the wall and then his hands lifted to grasp the top of the door frame, his arms stretched over his head now. His feet shifted back a little and he leaned forward, his entire torso becoming taught as he did so. His head tilted a little, his tongue only lazily flicking across his teeth - but his eyes didn't settle on her. Nope, it was not flirtation. It was very deliberate, very subtle exhibition.
Grayell leaned in the doorway now and folded his arms. One hand held his nails in front of his face which he looked at in a nonchalant manner. One eyebrow raised only to compliment the facade.
What would you want with him? He's just a drunken braggart who dwells in the tavern when he's not sleeping it off in some alleyway or bedding a whore with no intention of paying. That guy is trouble.
Something I can help you with?
