The ring separated with a little click of sound and unrolled across his palm. It formed a solid line instead of a circle, one with little marks all across the surface.

Still, she took both the map and the ring; no the piece of metal, and crouched down against the ground. It felt weird, almost alive in her fingers and she dropped it on the map to shake that sensation off.
The ring, or piece of metal wasn't done, though. It slithered across the map only to stop in a corner of it, then it rolled back up into a circle, around what seemed to be a collection of pine trees.

Kiko stood upright. She nodded at him, he was obviously feeling better. She shouldered the gear and let him figure out the map. The sooner they were out of this swamp the better she would feel.
She did give one last glance back toward the body of the werewolf. Just to assure herself he was still dead.

Grayell kinda wandered about given he was not the GM and was expecting some info on the map and where they might be on it and so on...
.... but using orienteering 101, he decided it was best that they headed for an elevated position in order to establish whether they could see any of the landmarks on the map. If none of them were already known to him of course.
Kiko followed him up the incline she had found a few hours before. The lake was no longer visible, though the outline of one on the map seemed to indicate it was still to the east of them. Which meant everything else was due west, or possibly Northwest.
Wistvale was on the map, but just barely on the south east edge. But, beyond that there was a whole lot of empty space. Oh, there were natural landmarks indicated. The swamp, the lake, the hills beyond the swamp, and several little things that could have been small farms or way stations.
Grayell should recognize it, they had traveled almost the same way when heading toward the Garou and the drop off of human habitation past Wistvale was patently obvious on the map. The map maker had been an intrepid soul.

Grayell knew the lay of the land and therefore folded the map away for now. They could see to this now or head to town first.
Well we need to travel thataway. Of course going by town would be a simple matter. I am curious but am not certain of the urgency of this. Truth be told, it just has me very confused.
Kiko sighed. She did not particularly want to go into town, but she also felt strangely unclean. She rubbed at her left shoulder, her eyes following the heat shimmer in the distance left by the sun.
Lets go home, Wolf. I... need to go home.
Her face was downcast when she spoke, and if the words were a little shaky she had managed to get them out at least.

Kiko made a sound at that. She did give him a brief smile, and for his sake she tried to dispense with the emotions that were clogging up her mind. She did feel better as they headed out of the gloomy environs of the swamp.
Kiko turned her face toward the sunshine and fell pace beside the Wolf.

(Your call on if this thread is done. As GM you get paid a little at least. We can pursue part 2 later of course and get into some other type of trouble in the mean time.)
