Kiga fell from the air with the birds swarming about him savagely and his face was truly, terribly upset now. His mouth flew open and emitted an immenely loud caw like a crow, the same birds that attacked him. These were abominations and if anything, any ONE thing upset Kiga, it was people messing with BIRDS.
He whipped his hands behind him and then threw them up toward the demonic flock, then tore handfuls of throwing knives from his belt and hurled them at the damned pumpkin headed monstrosity.
The kid on Jonah's shoulder kicked and shrilled a haunting scream, hands reaching to pull and tug on his white hair. The attempt to drag the kids back to Wistvale was unfortunately in vain, as more kids reached for him and Chaz, their respective mini-versions stepping forward, Wade holding a pumpkin for Jonah and Watson held a cat carved pumpkin for Chaz.
Margrett's blow connected with the Scarecrow's straw legs, knocking the lower ends clean off, straw flying everywhere. It felt back, shouting in an indecipherable scream as some of the knives escape the dark swarm and stab into the pumpkin head, a couple knives protruded, stuck on the side. The remaining knives pierced through the body and came out the other side.
The scarecrow whipped what was left of his legs around, spinning his body like a top, shadow sickles swinging around him while he retaliated, hopefully keeping both Margrett and Kiga at a distance. Two black arrows were shot from the surrounding darkness, one aimed for Kiga, the other for Margrett. Laughter followed.
While Venom peered into the darkness seeking Nuala, he saw a dozen silhouettes of the witch surrounding the pumpkin patch standing in shadow, bows raised and arrows aimed.
Venom's long wait finally gave fruit as he spotted the evil archers. Without turning to see who was left with him, that hadn't rushed in to save the children, he pointed and said...
There! We must stop them before they release their arrows!
Venom rushed towards them, blade to his side cutting through the darkness and waiting to take action. Hopefully he would reach them in time before his companions would receive the rain of arrows. As he ran he tried to see how many in total there were.
Margrett was trying to stay out of the way of the scarecrow's attack, and she didn't see the arrows. The one aimed for her caught her shoulder. She hissed and grabbed at it, distracted from the bows for a moment, raising her shield and waiting for the scarecrow to stop spinning.

Things were happening in much of a blur when Kiga saw the arrow flying directly toward his back. He spun and twisted, his hand slapping out and warping the air in it's path... and it grazed by his ribs, it's keen edge cutting him open.
He shrieked in pain at that moment but it did not distract him, he had to assist Margrett in taking down the massive pumpkin warrior. He was nimble and looked to stay out of reach of the spinning blades and as the demon was spinning - he reached back with a determined look.
A ball of writhing wind built in his hand, whipping about like distorted, translucent smoke; and he then threw it at the directly at the demon's head. It should explode with a sudden surge of air pressure and did it not injure it, he hoped at least to disorient it.

Ouch!
Jonah had no choice but to drop the kid from his shoulder as the little possessed brat kicked and screamed and pulled a chuck of hair from the tribesman's head. Jonah would have turned to see if the kid was ok but Wade was approaching with a pumpkin for his head and he didn't want to give any of these children the chance of adding him to their worshipping ranks. Jonah tried to kick the pumpkin out of Wade's hands.
A cat pumpkin?! How did you even have the time to carve that?! What would be the purpose!?
He tried to grab the pumpkin from Watson and pull it away. Maybe if they smashed the pumpkins it would break the hold, or at least take away their weapons.
A good scientist is a person with original ideas. A good engineer is a person who makes a design that works with as few original ideas as possible.
At the sight of the enemy archers, Rue knew it was time for her to attack. Loading her own arrows, she aimed at the line of archers in front and released, trying to take down as many as she could before more of her companions were injured. She saw Venom charging the enemies as well and only hoped the two of them would be enough to hold off the enemy lines - the rest of their party seemed preoccupied at the moment.
As the only other GM in the thread, I declare this over. It's obvious Kerag isn't coming back. Take 15 acclaim. If you're out of a thread now, I would suggest finding "Summoning the Beast."
