Kerag smiled, clasping Venom by the shoulder, giving him a congratulatory nod.
"Thank you Brother Venom, we completed the task together as a team, just as the Guard should overcome their obstacles. Alone we may accomplish some, but together..."
He smirked.
"We can conquer anything in our path."
The orc turned to Margrett, nodding approval.
"So that was your plan you mentioned in the ruins."
Kerag rubbed his jaw, wincing a little.
"Understood Captain."
He saluted her, and started walking. A thought came to mind, and he looked over his shoulder.
"I'm sure we can do a decent job, but we're more the fighting type than builders. Would we flunk if we got a little help from an expert engineer like Charles? He made the Jailhouse nice, and even repaired my house."

I'll let you try for a while, and if you are completely inept at building something, then we will call Hire. The test is for you to figure it out on your own. And save money which would otherwise go to builders. She folded her arms behind her back.
Tallia's face filled with absolute horror. A garrison? Building? With just wood? She knew a little about putting things together, but... This was madness... Well, technically, this was Wistvale, but that's besides the point. At any rate, she couldn't really think of much to help the guys out; she was of little strength, despite the critical boosts she could get in now and then (which did help quite a lot), and this task was solely about manpower (besides the planning part, of course). Sighing, she turned to Venom...
"U...um... I'm... not really that strong... What... what can I... do to help...?"
When you're right, you're right brother Kerag. Hehe. Looks like our carpentry skills will be put to the test now... Maybe Chaz can at least just give us like a blue-print of how to build one. I've never built anything in my life time.
He then turned to look at his captain.
Very well. We will do our best, but if it doesn't hold up when the winds arrive don't blame us for any injuries that it may occur.
Before heading back towards town, he looks at Tallia with a big grin on his face.
Worry not little one, you can hand us the supplies we'll be needing while we're busy holding the wood up. You'll always be of help Tallia, don't ever forget that. Without you, we're like a body without its arms.
On the outskirts on town, near the jailhouse, was a plot of land a building had once stood, now gutted by fire. There was a basement in the floor but not much else. Most of it had been cleared away, and now there were bundles and bundles of boards and building supplies. She folded her arms.
Kerag walked the perimeter of the plot, still tending to his jaw, mumbling something about measurements. He looked to Tallia and Venom then Margrett before stripping off most of his armor and setting them aside with his weapons.
"At least the basement is still intact, still have to build up however."
Kerag smirked.
"I'm not an engineer but I've worked with Chaz, and I think I remember how he made my back door. Same concept should apply here, only at a larger scale."
He grunted, coughing and growling to clear his throat. The morning air was getting to him, but the cool breeze felt good against his bare skin. He'd worked up a sweat from the first part of their test.
"Are there any objectives you'd like met Captain? We already have a basement. How many floors? Rooms? Looks like we have enough material to build whatever we need to accomplish."
Venom looked at Kerag and was suprised at how he sounded like he had an idea of what was going to be needed. He remained quiet and let him take charge of this part of the test. Disarming himself and his little armor, he places his gear near Kerag's. He made his way over to the ruin and began to inspect it.
Venom got a knee and felt on what was left of the basement wall. After listening to Marg's description of what would be in the new garrison they are to build he looked up at Tallia.
I think we should build a separate area for our female guards. I doubt they'd want to spend too much time with us brutes.
Turning to face his peers, Kerag pointed to the building supplies.
"Alright. We're going to make and take measurements first, create a blueprint of the Garrison so we don't run into problems later. After we know what sizes we need, I''ll cut the wood into appropriate size and carry the heavy stuff wherever we need it."
He furrowed his brow.
"Help out however you both want to, I trust you can decide where you're strengths best contribute."
Kerag began measuring the plot's perimeter, jotting numbers in terrible hand-writing, but legible enough.
Venom began by destroying whatever`parts he thought they would not need from the ruined building with kicks from his nice boots to make room for the new foundations, making a pile of broken wood to the side. He gave Kerag time to make the blue print before they began building the garrison.
Not wanting to be one to stand around and let the guys take care of the work, Tallia followed her colleagues' example and disarmed herself, placing her gear with the others. She joined Venom in breaking down the unnecessary parts of the structure. She worked in silence, glancing every now and then at Venom.
When Kerag was satisfied he approached his peers, showing them a crudely basic blueprint of the plot.
"Alright, here's the plan."
The blueprint showed the land divided according to Margrett's conditions for the Garrison, including a few modifications of his own. There was a sufficient amount of space left open for the training yard, with the main building extending one end of the perimeter and connecting to the next side at a 90 degree angle. If the plot was perfectly square, then two sides of the land was committed to the construction of the Garrison. Kerag had also divided these parts into several smaller squares which would function as rooms. Margrett's office, Zaedus's office, and an office for Kerag were placed together, one room next to the other. A larger rectangular room was the barracks for recruits and guards to sleep, and next to that was a space set aside for the armory.
"It's a basic design, and I'm sure Charles could do a much more sophisticated job...but this is my idea."
There was another building drawn, smaller of course on the other side of the plot. Kerag pointed to it.
"A lounge area for Guard. Place to kick back after training and patrols."
Kerag spread his arms open, gesturing at the blueprints.
