"Oh, wow," Good wasn't the word she would use, though that may be because she had a hard time seeing herself in the same light as Gregory.
"I can't believe it grew a mustache for me, and its so full. I look like that man, that fencing instructor at the University, James would know the one."
She paused for a moment when he said his name out loud and then tried to continue her out loud examination.
"He wasn't from here, but he had an accent and spoke one of the Romantic languages mixed with common tongue. He was a riot to hear talk."
Then she got an idea, and chuckled at the thought. Looking over the mirror to see Gregory, she assumed a serious face with an alluring look in her eyes, "Usted es el hombre màs sexy que he visto nunca..."
She said in exaggerated, romantic manner. She wasn't sure if Gregory understood a word she just said.
She giggled, "Thanks, Oh! I probably shouldn't laugh like that when I look like this. Actually, if I'm to make this convincing I should probably assume a new identity..."
She went back to her thinking of the fencing teacher and his mannerisms, perhaps she should draw from that to make a new personality. Not that she really needed it, but it would help her better feel like someone different in this form. Besides, she couldn't help but be having a little fun now.
"How was my accent that time, did it make me sound like a different person...amor?
"Riight." Serenity helped him put the mirror down before looking over herself one last time.
"Well, I suppose I could go out during the day then, so long as I remember the limit of this enchantment."
Her clothes still fitted a little tight, especially her boots since her feet must have grown a little as well. The lady couldn't just carry an extra set of clothes while walking around town, and what if she needed to let the item recharge?
She walked around the room, feeling uncomfortable as she figured she would, "No, this won't do at all, but it'll have to. Unless, do you have something more elastic, Gregory?"
You're making it worse, Serenity....but yes. Wouldn't want you to walk around as a man wearing women's clothing. He got up and went to a dresser, pulling out some clothes and mumbling to himself.
It was going to be an interesting outing, she thought, perhaps more enjoyable than it should be. After all, there was important business to take care of. Thinking of that, she was reminded of what she would have to talk about, making her heart race once more.
"Of course I won't, not without seriously trying anyhow." she flashed Gregory a quick grin before shoving him out of the room so she could change, closing the door behind him.
The process took a little longer than it normally would, as Serenity was having a hard time forcing her hands to unbutton her pants. It was uncomfortable to face, she didn't want to see it.
Oh come on, your husband had one...
She didn't plan on seeing it, but just the thought of knowing it was there in place of her usual naughty bits was unnerving. Serenity started with her shirt then.
It was easier to deal with, until she discovered how flat her chest gotten and how a patch of hair had replaced her breasts. Her eyes went wide.
Where does he get these things?
She removed the old white shirt, struggling at first to get it off, and then wore the new one which came on easily. After buttoning it up, it was time to get to her pants, which seemed to wrap around her waist tighter every time she thought about it.
Sighing, then scratching her head, she looked straight ahead and carefully took off the pants, not daring to look down. Then she blindly reached for the brown pair she had put aside, and carefully slipped in her now hairy legs.
During the process of not looking, Serenity lost her balance and tripped on one of the pant legs, causing her to fall over and nearly hit her head against the cod.
"Oh for the love of, I'm fine Gregory!" she called out, suddenly taken back by the sound of her own voice when shouting.
The pants were almost on now, still not looking down she pulled them up while still on the ground. Successful, she got up and finished buttoning them.
"Alright, I'm done, how does it look?" she said coming out of the backroom.
"And let you devise a way to make this permanent? I think not." she said shaking her head with a little sly smile.
"I'll try and see if I can finish my business today then, once I'm done I'll return this thing to you." she held the necklace in her hand and examined it around her neck, "How exactly do I recharge it anyway, I just take it off?"
"Right then, I guess I'm off, I'll probably be back in the evening depending on what happens. If you'll have me again."
Even though Serenity was in a man's body now, still adjusting even, her mind set was still that of a woman without much change for now.
Serenity raised an eyebrow at his last statement as it seemed he was almost nervous about saying it. Perhaps he was trying to imply something, in fact that's probably was it was.
Rolling her eye now she walked over to the Elf and humored him with a kiss on the cheek, "You only get one, Duende."
Serenity wondered what must have looked like from a third person perspective, and headed out the door.
The lady wasn't sure how much time she had left with the necklace, as she was inside the store wearing it for a little while. Not wasting much time, she headed off to the midtown markets, which would be rather busy this time of day...
And busy they were; the major city's hustle and bustle was just as she remembered it. As she passed, people tried to sell her things. Once a very well dressed woman winked at her from the side of the road, waving. It seems she was in fact handsome as a man.
Serenity smiled back at the woman who gave her a certain look, it seemed she looked far better as a man than she thought she did. It was interesting to see women look at her instead of men now, with the exception of Gregory. Although Highever has its assortment of interesting characters.
Its coming back to me now...
Her sense of direction around this market was becoming familiar again, Their house should be near the end of this street and just a little ways around the corner...
She took a deep breath and walked forward, her heart beginning to race again as she headed towards James's house, secretly hoping they wouldn't be home.
"I'm such a coward..." she muttered to herself.
