Serenity's first stop was at the last town she visited before ultimately making her way to Wistvale, which unbeknownst to her would be a final destination and ultimately make her turn around to face her fears and family.
The name escaped her memory, she only stayed for perhaps a week, a weekend at least before moving on to Wistvale. Unlike the several towns before it she didn't make too much of a ruckus in this peaceful little community, or so she thought.
Entering the town, she noticed a few eerie glances her way and whispers among the people. Serenity couldn't recall how long its been since passing through here, it seemed like a good length of time. Perhaps it wasn't.
Serenity didn't pay them much mind and walked into the tavern to refresh herself, same thing she did when she came last time...
A man named Rick, or something other had bothered her last time when she walked in. Her stool wasn't even warm before he came up to offer her expensive drink and take her to his home for a visit. She didn't know who he was or what he was to the town, but a quick display of her magic showed that he wasn't much in a fight.
A rock fist had flown straight through the the tavern doors, grabbed her admirer, and dragged him outside where it pinned him on the road. When Serenity got a quick drink she had gone outside and used more of her magic to scare him away from her completely. For the moment anyway. After this grand entrance she didn't stay long.
The people were wary of her at first, with good reason, but she had the barkeeper's daughter warm up to her, explaining that she just wanted to be left alone after a long trip. The little teenager was charming and Serenity enjoyed talking to her during her stay.
Becky, Serenity recalled, she wondered if the charming girl still worked in the tavern as she made her way to the bar.
She saw that the doors were fixed, which was good, she felt awful about that. Taking a seat at the bar she made a request for water before asking the bartender (hoping he didn't mind her if he remembered who she was), "Are there any wagons ready heading West towards Highever, or at least going in that general direction?"
