Physical huh? Well miss.... sounds like you are just too worried about living a little. You don't know me so well as you think you do. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying I'm keeping you awake at night. But I can tell you this much.
He leaned over and pried the hat up, finding her eyes.
You only live once. And you simply won't know unless you try.
He winked in a friendly manner then and climbed onto the bow of the ship, adjusting the rigging.
He smiled but it faded as he yanked on a rope and the sail filled with wind once more. He tied it off and then paced back to sit lean on the boat across from her.
Tell you what though. You just use that smile of yours and you'll get your way.
He smiled whilst saying it and delivered it as a sincere compliment.
Grayell gives her a cheeky look and stretches, than folds his arms behind his head. He knew his was wet and toned and was entirely showing off, but that too was being cheeky.
Done with the questions then? I guess that just leaves the drinking....
Grayell nodded, swung under the boom and handed her the gourd.
We should hit land shortly. I'll set up camp and gather some food. Get a fire going. It's going to be cold by the lake but we'll manage. Then we can press on come dawn.
Grayell shot her a smarmy look as he went to the bow and worked the ship, back to the rear and then sat with his hand upon the rudder, his other holding the line.
Hold on, this last stretch is going to be a little bumpy...
Grayell yanked on the rope and leaned and the boat lifted to one side, the rudder cutting the water, the skip cutting across the lake at a much faster rate of speed.
Grayell only laughed as water splashed over the side and sprayed his face, it was invigorating and it was one of those moments he lived for, him versus the elements. The look on his face showed he was alive.
Yeah, I get that a lot. Besides...
A scraping noise ran along the bottom of the boat and it came to a halt. He slipped off the back and into the water.
We've arrived.
He pushed the boat with writhing muscles and a determined face and then moved to the front of the boat, pulling it up the shore with a grunt. He breathed deep and dusted off his hands as he walked to the side and held out a hand politely.
