She smiled, her eyes gleaming with predatory glee.
The pack itself has over a hundred wolves. The betas are fewer, about ten or so. I know where most of them hide out. They're spread evenly so that Verick can gather intelligence.
Grayell smiled but his mind was somewhat elsewhere. His hand gently stroked hers, almost an automatic show of affection.
Well... I'd love to have that all figured out. I need to kill them silently - keep it under wraps. If there's ten of them, depending on geography and assuming I can manage without injury - well that's ten night's work really.
Unless.. I can catch them in pairs. Or a group. Better yet.....
Grayell grinned now and his expression was entirely dangerous.
Kitten, you are a regular trickster. Think we can turn them on each other and pick up the slack?
Grayell studied her for a moment and of course, found that he simply couldn't see inside someone. Her reaction concerned him, he'd meant nothing... well offensive. He lowered his hand to his side instead.
Hm. Not big on the order then. Well Liseth, I suppose it's mostly up to you then. Consider me the big nasty bastard lurking and waiting to strike... because I will be. I want you to be safe though. Ten betas... well that's a hell of a fight for anyone.
