Chaz was stunned for a moment at the orc's sheer size. He was easily two feet taller and four times his weight. He grinned, a self-defense mechanism, and took the door chunk from the orc.
Oh, of course. I fix things. All kinds of things. wooden things especially. My dad was a carpenter. You pick things up.
He didn't like looking at the pattern for the door, so he cleared his throat and looked back up at the orc, which wasn't much better.
I'm Chaz, by the way, Charles Hire. I still haven't sorted through all the stuff this place has, but let me see if I have some spackle and wood.

Kerag lips spread into a wide grin, revealing his tusk like lower teeth. He liked Chaz's attitude and answer.
"Excellent. Pleasure to make your acquaintance Charles. After the door I'd like the hole patched and a mechanism installed allowing me to stash valuables inside. After I make some more gold I can compensate you fairly, I'll keep a close watch on your shop during my patrols and if you ever need muscle, let me know." Kerag grumbled, staring down at the Cat, he laughed.
"I'm glad to have found the right guy...ahem...cat for the job."

Kerag nodded, stepping inside. He took a quick look around at all the heavy parts and metal machinery. He couldn't imagine the cat having an easy time moving and manipulating them and grinned when he realized Chaz might indeed take him up on the offer. His pockets weren't exactly jingling with gold at the moment, as most of it went towards equipment for his job.
The orc's plated boots clanked while he walked across the shop, waiting for Chaz to find what he was searching for.
Looks like they had some spackle in here. And some planks. May need your help there. And there's a old safe in here, maybe I can-- There was a crashing noise and Chaz cried out, yelping a little.

He was trapped under some planks, a small metal safe perched on the shelf above him, threatening to fall. Chaz twitched and looked up at it through a black eye.
Umm. Help?

Kerag's red eye fixated on the metal safe. His first plan involved freeing Chaz first but the safe was teetering at the edge of the shelf, wobbling as it finally tipped over and fell.
Kerag yelled, outstretching his arms and catching the safe in mid-air. The orc set it down beside him and removed the planks pinning Chaz down. He offered the cat a hand, grinning at him.
"Looks like you could use some muscle around here."

Kerag gave Chaz a careful look over. He wasn't a doctor be he'd fought in many battles and healed enough soldiers to know If injuries were bad and how to treat them. He sighed.
"Think nothing of it Charles, glad I was here when it happened."
Chaz's injuries weren't too severe, though he did look a little grim and beat up with the black eye. Kerag knew the ordeal hadn't been easy on him, and was sure he probably saw his life flash past him before getting rescued.
"Yeah let me show you the way." Kerag said, grabbing the bucket and walking towards the door.
Chaz was asleep in his new hammock, sleeping off a long night of work. His experiment was clutched in his hand, a small device of metal and glass. The door was slightly open. It was a good thing Kerag was the only person who'd come along.

Kerag's knock opened the door further, and he stepped inside, boots clanking against the floor. The orc found him asleep in his new hammock, a device in his hand. It was a curious if not cute sight to behold, and Kerag cleared his throat, not wanting to startle Chaz.
