Serenity walked back to the council building, her intuition believing that there might be a training dummy behind it somewhere. She wasn't quite sure what led her to believe this but there wasn't going to be anything to hit at her home.
There was much to the place that she didn't know about, it was kept strangely well and had a few interesting pieces laying about. Surely there would be something she could stab with her new blade.
Oh.....why did I buy this blasted thing? I can't use a sword to save even my own life. I should have entered the dueling club when I had the chance.
It was a weakness of hers, buying things that she likes, she was ashamed of it but it couldn't be helped. Her father must of sold the collection of items she bought over the years in Highever. All the dresses, art pieces, books, music, a few instruments, even a little statue she placed by her bed side that resembled a stallion with a horn on its head.
She entered the the council building, knowing that it would most likely be empty since Grayell didn't call a meeting. The lady didn't know Orp very well either but something told her that he wouldn't spend is free time here.
Walking into the main chamber she looked around the room to see nothing worthy of her steel. She laughed at the thought. Sighing she carefully unsheathed her sword anyway, at least to admire it.
"It's quite stunning..."
The blade seemed to shine as it was removed from its sheath, glinting in the light coming through a window. Serenity held it as far away from her as possible and studied the blade as if it were a magic rune. Rotating her wrist, she admired every inch of it, feeling better about buying it after all even if she couldn't use it.
Taking it slowly, her arm swung the blade from side to side. The weight was something new to her, and while she wasn't entirely weak, swinging the sword around as she did made her wrist hurt. She stopped, bringing her arm closer to her with the blade still pointing outward. Taking a quick breath she thrusted forward, pretending an enemy suddenly charged straight at her.
In the blink of an eye the image of James in his werewolf form suddenly appeared, face first with jaws gaping wide falling right at her. The surprise thought made her shout and fall back on her bottom, the sword making a metal clanking sound as it dropped to the floor.
She brought a hand to her chest and felt her heart beat, trying to figure out what just happened. Her heart was racing fast and pounding, as if it wanted to leap up her throat and out her mouth. Putting her hand to her forehead, she sighed, and wiped the little sweat off her brow.
Getting up first, she picked the sword up and slowly placed it back into its sheath, forgetting the idea of practicing and making her way to the door.
