Grayell had sent word to both Orp and Serenity that he wished to meet by the council hall. It was still a mess so he'd chosen a place outdoors as it was quite a lovely afternoon. He waited their arrival, simply watching the clouds and then the ants at his feet until they showed.
Serenity walked up the road towards Grayell, holding her head a little from what appeared a headache. Something crazy must of happened at the tavern the other night...
"Hello...Grayell, forgive me if I become a little impatient if I'm not already. You wanted to meet with me?"
Grayell smiled and offered her a hand as she approached, though it seemed far more likely she needed a drink.
Yes, and Orp too. We need to discuss the matter of who we'd like as our advisors.
Are you doing ok? You don't look so... never mind. You seem a little under the weather.
Orp Boon [M:83:616:][D3v:http://www.rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=406&page=1#374]"Is that family heirloom for sale?"[0:Gone fishing.][1:The store is open!]
Grayell offers Orp a handshake and then leans on a tree.
Good to see you guys, really. Before we get into the nitty gritty though, I think we should consider who we would like to have as advisors. We need to consider any facet of the community we don't immediately represent, but should also be wary of their motives.

"I would like Daenien to be my adviser. He has knowledge of the underground and some scientific and anatomical knowledge specialized in poisons. What majors areas of the community do we still need covered?"
I entirely agree with your choice. I do hope he can be trusted but I am sure that a better economy and the license to hawk his wares will keep him quite content. It also allows us to keep track of whom is purchasing questionable goods in case those goods should be used illegally.
I believe we need better representation of intellectual pursuits in town. We have more than a handful or mages and scholars at present but I personally have only met one. Perhaps the two of you have someone in mind?
Serenity tilted her head straight, having held it in one hand this whole time, "Bloody hangover" she muttered to herself.
The mage had already given it some thought, and carefully considered her first choice.
"I have one, Zane, the doctor."
She wasn't sure how Orp and Grayell would feel about this, but it was better to let it out now then have Zane be discovered later.
"He's a mage, and a brilliant healer...but there is one other thing. He is also a blood mage."
Before the other council members jumped to conclusions she immediately followed up.
"I know it must seem like a horrid choice, compared to Daenien anyway, but he is not an evil man. He uses blood magic for healing, and he has saved me with it once already. The man is an important ally and we must trust him."
Grayell scowls and studies her face closely. He couldn't be outright against it given his own... changes of late, but he didn't trust any blood mage. It wasn't about personal merit, it was about his past with that particular type of magic.
Alright. I will agree to that. I won't lie and tell you it pleases me but will say I am not entirely against blood magic. I just have not seen any degree of good from it's practice. Perhaps he will show us differently.
Perhaps indeed. Perhaps, were this man trustworthy; Grayell could get some damn answers.
If that is your choice, then I believe we have intellectual pursuits accounted for. Two mages and a merchant seems to be every thing but the muscle...
Grayell chuckled. He didn't question his worth as a warrior. He was an implement, a tool in combat and had no compunctions about his chosen profession.
If that is the case then I would like to take on Zaedus as my advisor. I intend to make him captain of town guard, which I would like to implement once he have established what we consider our laws.
She sighed, relieved that Grayell wasn't going to go haul Zane out of his home and have him hanged for his magic.
The name Zaedus was familiar to her, he was the Worgen who accompanied her in the cave not long ago. It was also because of him that she learned some fascinating history, as well as got a little more over her fear of wolves.
"I've no objections."
Orp Boon [M:83:616:][D3v:http://www.rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=406&page=1#374]"Is that family heirloom for sale?"[0:Gone fishing.][1:The store is open!]
"I do not know much of this Zaedus but I have no objections to the proposed advisers. Blood magick does not particularly bother me unless it changes from a tool of healing into a tool of torture."
Well then, I suppose we are all in agreement. No need for ceremony, I suggest we all inform our respective advisors of their appointment.
We'll need to meet again shortly to discuss what laws we would like to see enacted. The very act of us coming into being seems to have settled things down for the moment but I wonder how long that's likely to last...
Serenity nodded, "It won't be long till neighboring lords hear of an established government in Wistvale. If they feel it necessary, we may get an envoy soon."
She caught her head again, the headache not quite gone yet, "Now if you'll excuse me sirs, I think I'd like to go home and rest."
Grayell chuckles and waves as she starts to leave.
They likely won't take us seriously any time soon. Let me know if you need anything Serenity.
He nods to Orp, still laughing and head off.
