A new poster was put up in town. A single woman in a long coat worked overnight to nearly plaster the town in them, so they were unavoidable. It was large, and written in fancy script:
I, Professor Phineas Montegue, am in Need of Assistants to help Acquire several Magical Artifacts of a Common and Not Dangerous Nature. The Rewards will be plentiful, and the Work Easy. Come to the Tower outside town on Sunday at Noon and my Daughter will greet you.
Regards, Prof. P. Montegue.
(This is going to be specially-made for newer players. Vets can join, but this adventure will be helping people get acquainted with our style of RP. For any players, RP as if you are coming up to the door to the tower to answer the help wanted poster a several minutes before noon.)
Of all the graveyards in all the towns in all the world, she had to walk into mine.
The speech from Grayell had been interesting, interesting, but it didn't involve him. He wasn't cut out to run towns of Sentients, too many people, too much whining. He might as well just stay a roving soldier. It seemed simpler, and by extension clearer. Besides, he had work now.
He came up to the tower, he wondered how the proffessor would take to his... appearance. Apparently Proffessors were learned men, who knew everything about... well everything. Perhaps he'd encountered Teratophoneus' before? He sighed, and knocked on the door.
Antonio had left the tavern and noticed some new posters hanging everywhere. He skimmed it through and grinned at the sight of easy money. Might as well help this professor out.
He left the town and followed the road to the tower and saw a familiar sight. The dino from the bar was standing near the tower door. He walked up to Aga and spoke in a low voice. "Hello friend. Trying to make 'money', huh?" He smiled and stopped at Agas side. "I do hope you've knocked on the door, right?"

"Yup, looks like he's taking a while." Ag said, keeping an eye on the door "I'm guessing you're going for this job as well huh? 'Could use the help." He said, he liked Antonio, seemed like a friendly guy. However he was still curious - and a little bit disturbed - as to why he kept switching from a womanly voice to a male voice. Did people find it funny? Is that just what Humans do, can't be, the bartender didn't seem to happy when he tried. Meh, guess it was just something this one did. It was new to him, and it made him slightly uncomfortable.
Celephai had been intriegued by the Professor's posted request. While it said he desired items of a common and not-at-all harmful nature, odds were he was likely trying to do what most men of greater knowledge than wisdom: try something stupid, like rip a hole in reality. This deserved investigation.
She creeped about the villiage, sticking to the shadows (of which there were very few, at noon). It seemed the effeminate man and the overlarge reptilian had already arrived. So long as neither of them were curious, this could go well. Celephai glided up quietly, her tall form completely concealed by her cloak. She did nothing to make her presence known beyond simply standing slightly behind the two, seemingly waiting for something to occur.

Orp boon thinks over the poster as he heads towards the tower from his home.
"Magical Artifacts" , "Rewards will be plentiful" , "Fancy script"
He begins to dream of the goods gathered in their journey. Usually he would send a worker to gather his goods, much like the professor was doing, but his money bags are currently empty.
As he approached, the others who had answered the call begin to gain focus.
"Teratophoneus, to be exact." He said, his voice going from cool and breezy to steely and gritty with the mood. "And i've noticed that you happen to be a Cyclops."

Greetings to you all. If you ever need anything come down to my general store in town."
Orp looks at Antonio and Celephai, taking quick glances at the saurian. He made a mental note to write entries in his log about the other questers, especially the apparent small dragon.

Ag glared at the Cyclops, he knew he was quite... different. Compared to the other beings which inhabited Wistvale, but so was this one. He wanted to deal with it, and he wanted to get over it, but something just wasn't right with this... strange sense of individuality that seemed almost detrimental. "I'm a male..." He said, with his harsh, steely voice. "I'm not sure what you're bothered about, something about you tells me you're more than acquainted with peculiar animals." The slightly harsh insult escaped him quickly, he was undoubtably irritably, but he kept cool. He was a sentient now, he had to act... somewhat civilized.
He greeted Orp with a nod. He didn't really notice what Aga said, as he was more interested in the hooded person behind them.
"Hello there. Do you know anything about this professor? Can you help us get in?" He had his hand on his blade, since this being was able to sneak up on them without any of them noticing it.

Celephai's intense observation of the cyclops and the reptile was broken as Antonio asked his question. It took a few moments to reorganize her thoughts, and a few seconds more to come up with a way to reply without giving herself away. On the one hand, she could speak. She did know the language, but she didn't want this group to get too comfortable with her. That would perhaps invite more questions...
She simply shook her hooded head, taking a step back from Antonio as she did so.
But the door I can likely remove if need be. It doesn't seem altogether that well-fortified... she thought to herself. Of course, if it were enchanted, she probably wouldn't even make it budge.
Antonio was still looking at Celephai with interest but moved his hand away from his blade. "So.. you're here for the money too.." he smiled and continued. "I'm Antonio d'Oro. Nice to meet you...." He stopped, waiting for Celephia to say her name.
ShortTrunk would not have noticed the signs but for the term rewards. Rewards usually come in the form of money, and money could be used to buy food for the herd. He located the tower and approached it with a lumbering gait typical of his race. When he arrived he saw four other beings, all bipedal races.
"Greetings varied-meat creatures. Are you here because of the loose-parchment advertisement as well?"
Oh god!Antonio had seen the giant tree walking up towards the tower. "I guess we are.. I am at least." he said with a humble voice. He continued with a smile on his lips. "This is one of the weirdest group of people I've ever seen.. I bet the professor will be impressed."
