Rue followed Simeon and the other man from the Tavern to the front gate of Wistvale. Not recognizing any of the people around the gate from her quick walk through town, she kept her distance, trying to listen to their conversation. When Simeon and the man from the Tavern turned away, she fell into step next to Simeon.
"Where are you guys headed? And who are they?" she added, glancing back over her shoulder at the group of people next to the gate.
We're heading out toward the woods to investigate the "undead" that poor man mentioned. Those two elves back there were apparently hunting the merchant. They claim he was really a crypt thief and had stolen an ancient artifact of sorts from them."
He paused a moment, "Come to think of it. Perhaps we should go back real quick. If what they say is true then the man might still have whatever they're looking for."
He attempted to get Grayell's attention, "Man from the tavern, forgive me I never got your name, but please wait just a moment. If that man had stolen something don't you think it could still be on his person?"
Rue watched Simeon leave and turned uncomforably towards the man who called himself Grayell. Due to his size and the fact that they had never met before, she was a bit nervous to be left alone with him. But, seeing as she was venturing into the woods to find the "undead" with him, she pushed these feelings aside and instead felt that an introduction was due.
"Grayell, did you say? My name is Rue. I'm new to Wistvale. Have you been here a while?"
Alec [M:118:6:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=412&page=1#1242]"I see," said the blind man to the deaf lady.[0:Wandering the stacks.][1:Present and accounted for.]
Watching the exchanges, Alec shrugs and begins following Simeon back to the tavern. The man spoke sense - and he also felt it a civic duty to remove the corpse from the bar. The stench was getting unbearable.
Come in under the shadow of this red rock, and I will show you something different from either your shadow at morning, striding behind you, or your shadow at evening, rising to meet you. I shall show you fear in a handful of dust.
Grayell held out a hand to Rue. He seemed a tad distracted, likely due to him being quite determined to making some undead, very dead.
Rue you said? Nice to meet you love. Been here a week or so. Nice to meet you so... but I do hope you can use that bow of yours. Pretty thing like you, wouldn't want to see you get hurt eh?
That predisposal made Grayell ruder than he obviously intended.
Thaylinus scoffed at Grayell's remark but looked to his sister. A few words were exchanged, and he nodded his head. He drew his hood over his head and sprinted off, his speed was astounding. She approached the would be adventurers.
"North east, five miles. My brother will meet you there if you wish to help, I have remaining business here. "
She began to walk back into the village and turned her head.
" And do play nice, I do not want any of you to die by my brother's hand, or vice-versa for that matter. I do hate getting involved in his bouts."
Grayell watched her carefully. She was the brains of the outfit, her brother got to play the ass. But she couldn't be trusted.
Yeah right, wouldn't want a death in the family. We'll be back in no time, I wouldn't want you wandering about town without someone to help you after all...
Simeon reenters the tavern and approaches the body (assuming it's still there). He begins to check the clothes man's clothes and pats him down trying to find anything that could help them. He's especially hoping to find the item that was supposedly stolen. Heh, stolen. I can only hope his body hasn't already been looted. Too many dishonorable people in this town still.
((In case you didn't catch that, Alec is with me. Do we find anything?))
The man's body was torn and ragged, the skin cold and pale. A closer examination of his hand showed something burned, runes and a symbol of some sort. Though it was not complete maybe somewhere a whole depiction of the symbol may be found.
"Go on...git. We need to move this outta 'ere and to tha fields ta be burry'd"
Came a voice behind Simeon, a burly haggered man stood behind him. From the smell and filth covering him it was apparent he was a farmer of some sort.
"Oh," Simeon turned in surprise. He hadn't expected anyone to approach. Although, it made sense. A dead body certainly ruined the jovial atmosphere of a tavern. "Allow us to help you," suggested Simeon, "We'll get this body out of the way so everyone can get back to their own matters."

Alec, stepping to the body, speaks up, "Let me help you with that. The stench is already getting to be unbearable."
