::Neko sat on the peak of the roof of a building overlooking the Marketplace below. Her hood was up to keep the sun from her eyes and her mask was pulled down to allow her to breathe in the fresh air and the scents of the bakers below.
Beside her set a small pile of nuts she had gathered from a nearby tree. Occasonally she would pick one up and crack the hard shell with the ring of her kunai to get to the softer insides. They made a nice snack as she wacthed the people milling about below.
She had always taken some responsibility for the people of the town. It was just part of her nature. But now it was made more official by the role she had accepted from Kiga. So now she made sure to take time every day to patrol the town and keep an eye on things. Part of her hoping she would even find something to lead her back to Piper. The memories of her encounter with him still haunted her dreams.
::As she watched the people below, she noticed someone moving oddly through the crowd. Her eyes narrowed as she watched more closely, trying to determine what had set this person apart enough to be noticed.
As she continued to observe the individual, she saw them slip up behind a merchant and extend a hand towards a rather full looking coin purse. The merchant was busy speaking very animatedly with another person, no doubt trying to haggle a better price.
With a smirk that almost looked like Father's, she snatched up one of the uncracked nuts at her side and sent it sailing down.
What followed was a cry of pain as the would-be thief grabbed their hand and sped off as the merchant turned to see what was going on.
With a satisfied smile, she leaned back and cracked another nut to snack on.::
((Anyone is free to find her here. Might not be much of an adventure, but I know there are some folks wanting to talk to her...))
((I was reading through some of the older posts to get an idea of what Wistvale is like, and this one caught my eye. Looks like Neko had similar ideas to Legault's. I think in 2014 I was too busy trying to graduate from my university and planning how to propose to my girlfriend. I wasn't active then. I was also attempting to roleplay a monk who, in hindsight, probably wouldn't have been the most interesting character... xD If Neko an Legault crossed paths, it'd have been much more interesting."))
((It's never too late... Probably about time I "stretched my legs", as I could use a creative outlet. I wouldn't worry too much about what kind of character you were/are trying to roleplay. All can be interesting in the hands of someone that is enjoying what they are playing. I've seen a lot over the years. Hell, Neko started out as a pet cat that was a nice break from playing an OP asshole. LOL))
((She's become one of my favorite characters. But yeah, long story short, the first iteration of The Menagerie had a pet element introduced at some point where folks found eggs that hatched into animals. They would eventually evolve like Pokemon into other forms, most of them more humanoid in appearance.))
