Although the last guard seemed rather odd, he did not bother to think much about him since he was still a prisoner and with escorts. It would matter not what was in place or not in his position. Tired of walking because he barely got to go out into the courtyard when he was locked up he decided to bother the guards once more.
Are we there yet?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::The comment was strangely disturbing, considering they were nowhere near outside the city, let alone the walls...
A second set of footsteps, along with the chink of someone moving in armor can be heard joining Kaur in following you. Should you look, the guard from the end of the alley was now following you both...::
Now things were getting a little too odd for him not to worry. Why would this guard leave his position? Two things came to mind. Either these two guards were about to kill him, or the guard that just joined them was not really a guard. He could be wrong and it was probably just a standard procidure for him to join them to arrive at the labor camp, but Redblade was not looking to die this day.
Remembering that the shackles felt like they had drained his magic, he wasn't going to let that stop him from trying to get the chains off. He placed his hands on the opposite shackles tied to them and whispered a few words trying to cast a spell. ((Can't really rp the magic if I am not certain it will work))
- Fumble -

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::Upon trying to work magic, Redblade can feel the energies he would draw upon to perform the working were there. However, for some reason there was a feeling of seperation...distance...between him and the magic he needed. ((Spell slot used, but no effect.))
Walking further down the alley there comes ahead on the right a tall wooden fence with an opening to step into. The slatting on the fence is high and close together, making it difficult to see what awaited inside. As you get closer, Kaur prods you with his hand from behind.::
If it was fenced, maybe they had arrived to their destination after all. He felt a little more calm about it, although it was only another prison. He shrugged and did as he was told, trying to get a better look to see what was beyond the fence.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::Entering the fenced area you find a simple courtyard up against the rear of a building. It is closed in on all sides with the only entrance and exit being the opening you came through, and a wooden door to the building the courtyard was built against.
Kaur and the other person following you come in behind you.::
"I don't know where you got the uniform, and I don't want to know. Just make it look convincing."
::The reply came with a hollow tone due to the helm, yet it sounded familiar. Like you had heard it only days before...::
"Oh, you know me, Mr. Kaur. I can be VERY convincing when I need to be."
::As he speaks, the door opens to the building and two men exit. From the look of them you would imediately think street thug as they start to approach. The familiar voice speaks again.::
Redblade turned around slowly, a bit shocked at the events starting to unfold. He tried to get a better look at the soldier with the helmet on. Could it be?.... Once hearing the door open from the building behind him, he turns back to look at the thug-looking men approaching him. What was going on here? This didn't feel like the Sentinels work anymore. And that voice, was it the cell mate that he had thought he spoke to on the first day he was locked up?
I do hope someone has the keys for these.
He raises his arms to show the shackles. Hopefully he would spot the one carry the keys in the event that he would have to steal them soon.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::The guard that led you here steps away from you as the two thugs approach. They walk close enough to you to heavily bump into your shoulder, but continue past to Kaur.
A quick look would show keys on his belt.
One of the thugs sends a powerful blow to Kaur's midsection, before the other nails him with an uppercut. The two continue to take turns beating him down as the helmed "guard" steps towards you.
He places a hand on your shoulder and turns you away from the beating, tho the sound still reaches you. He walks you a few paces away before stopping to remove his helm and shake out the red hair that framed his Cathian face.::
"Well. If it isn't my old friend from the cell next door..."
Redblade would have tried to steal the keys when he was bumped, but something within stopped him from doing so. Maybe it was because they looked so much like thugs that they were probably professionals at stealing from others and people like that are very hard to steal from.
Seeing how they began to beat down the guard, Redblade began to feel that he would be next, giving him a very cold feeling down his spine. That was until the other guard walked up to him and showed his face.
He did not know what to think after seeing the cathian that seemed to be Piper himself. This is the man who he was looking for that got him in this whole mess to begin with, but at the same time he thought to himself, "Did he just free me from the Sentinels to work for him, or did I just get kidnapped only to be tortured because he knew that I was on to him?" Redblade would have to wait and play it out to see how much the Cathian knew.
... Is it... really you?... They had told me that there was never anybody in the cell next to me, but I could have sworn that I did speak to somebody that first day that they through me in a cell...
Looking at his read hair, he says...
You must be Piper, right?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::The Cathian looked a bit odd in his armor, as one not used to wearing such equipment. He gave a sly smirk with a bow in reply to Redblade. When he speaks to you, it's with the easy manner of an old friend::
"The one and only, mate. I'd tell you how I did it, but then I'd have to kill you..."
::Wink::
"But why do that when I just busted you out!
The question NOW is...
What are YOU going to do?
Are you going to join up with the man that freed you, or go your own way?"
There never was a Cathian of such deceitfulness and suavity
He always has an alibi and one or two to spare
Whatever time the deed took place, PIPER wasn't there!
Redblade began to think for a minute. This was the guy that almost killed him, Dionne, and Neko some time ago, not to mention the person he did kill that entered the tavern that night. He had intended to chase Piper down for that. Seeing how he left Neko, and hoping to make things right only got him locked him and mistreated by the Sentinels. While being locked up, no one even tried to free him or at the very least visit him during that time. It was actually kind of ironic that it was Piper himself to free him.
Redblade was so confused but seeing how the thugs treated Kaur, he did not want to receive the same welcome. Plus there was something he had to tell Piper before making a decision, and he had many questions that needed answers. He would start with a simple question. His eyes looking back into Piper's, he speaks.
What would I be joining into?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::He continues with his easy air of confidence and "friendship". Seemingly oblivious of the beating being delivered behind him.::
"Why, my merry band of thieves, of course!"
::He waves in a grand gesture, taking in the two thugs.::
"Granted we look a bit violent at the moment...
But it needs to be done to "sell" your "escape". I can't have it looking like he just let you go, you understand...
Having someone on the inside is a valuable asset I can't afford to lose.
So...
What do you say?"

With Piper having gone through these extreme measures to free him, and with this escape making him now a wanted criminal, Redblade really didn't have a choice. He smiled at the Cathian.
Count me in, but please explain, why me?... I mean, why go through all this trouble for someone you hardly know or even trust?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
"Well, you did handle two of my own men. And with nothing but a shield and some shuriken to boot!
Granted they were not my best. Nor the most welbehaved, as I'm sure you know.
But still, an admirable feat.
So I find myself two men down, and needing to fix that. I'd rather turn an enemy to a friend then have him continue to haunt me. It seemed like a good way to turn things around.
It's not like I have anything to lose should you decline my offer..."

... So... you are aware that it was me, huh?... I wondered how you would take it knowing that it was me that night. I'm glad that its out there now.
He raises his chained arms.
If its not too much to ask...
He looks at the shackles.
Also please tell me that you recovered my items. I work better with them.
