Whilst it's being worked on, I am in no hurry to throw something together as gear and gear pricing can be a tricky thing to get right. Staff are discussing this elsewhere, but I would like to hear from our players.
What would you hope to see in the store? What prices might you anticipate and for what?
So... gear has me a bit confused to be honest. They no longer have any abilities that come with them, right? Only the tags for weapons and type of armor?
That being the case, gear seems like it really matters a lot less. Obviously higher prices for better quality weapons. I imagine a poor quality weapon wouldn't cost more than 50G while exception would probably be 800+? And Perhaps masterwork cannot be bought except in special occasions and are mostly found through adventure?
I imagine pricing would be similar to how it was before. The top end gear prices being exceptional and masterwork with the lower end being common and poor.
Death is no more than turning us over from time to eternity. Whether that eternity is damnation or salvation is determined in the time we have.
If you need an example of what gear can do, take a look at Shen, Alex or Zae. They're gear was converted and some of it is pretty fancy. Yes, magic gear won't be nearly as common, at least not with 'can do this special thing', but it's still in game.
Gear should always matter. Your common weapon can break, or simply not be enough to pierce your enemies armour, or hide.
Your prices are too high though, I am looking at 500 being an uber item - and I do mean uber. You should be able to upgrade your start gear comfortably for around 25 gold a piece, really. That will get you a higher quality, more dependable and more durable piece of kit.
Didnt we once have the simplest items to sell like rope, tent, etc..?
GM NOTE:: Redblade is a known felon and escaped criminal. This can and should effect all interactions with certain people that would be aware of his status. Especially the Sentinels.
"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
I like the idea of having requirements on gear. Strength requirements, weapon type skill requirements and so on. Can I anticipate that being quite common in the upcoming gear? Or did we kind of decide against stat requirements?

To keep things simple, armour will be the most common gear with a requirement. Some gear will as well. I saw you mention your bow and yes, I could have done so but it is YOUR bow now so I figured it's rather trivial. Weapons still have a talent required for their effective use, so strict requirements would be doubling up.
I will be striving to make most gear unique, so no two are alike. Of course, the Wardens Cloak is currently an exception to that.
Also, the store won't have the pages of items it had before, as it's unnecessary work. The things that are in store will remain and be replaced when purchased, but as they're affordable there is little reason to squirrel your money away.
Besides, collecting items isn't so bad
There also won't be a system for upgrading items you already have or rather, very limited options. Buying better gear is certainly the way to go.
