- New gear system established and to be rolled out as necessary.
- Surely oodles of other things!
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO ADAPT
- Familiarize yourself with the rules, talents and system. It's only fair to your GM that you've got a grasp on what's new and what's expected.
- Consider whether you want to reinvent, rebuild or start with a new character.
- Finish at outstanding quests and the like, as you cannot switch in the middle of a story.
REBUILDING YOUR CHARACTER
- Choose your character's race.
- Complete your bio, complying with race specifications.
- Start with your race perks and drawbacks.
- Drawbacks must be paid for, if you intend to advance that skill.
- Spend your 50 acclaim, per the instructions in the game guide. You must spend all 50 to begin with.
- Ask admin to approve your character at this point. If approved, you can then spend your remaining acclaim. Please provide a simple breakdown for staff, it makes our life easier.
- If you currently have equipment that is not starting gear, inform admin or wait for us to address it. All gear is being reinvented or scrapped to balance the game.
Can I change my current characters race and talents?
Yup, or it may be easier to consider it a new concept.
I have X special item currently, can't I keep it?
No, sorry. Serenity has some cards in play that will be permitted to complete that story line alone and cannot be utilized elsewhere, or afterward. If possible, you'll be given a new item.
What else has been done to balance the game?
Well for one, Alex is cutting half of all acclaim earned for admin work. I retired my admin characters altogether.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR FEEDBACK.
If we're to be a strong community, we need to act together toward our future. I will be recognizing some people for their assistance and their input in this update. There was a great deal of work to do and I'm glad it's done, but it's hard to implement without input from our players.
To those who took the time, thank you very much for being a team player.
