The merchant half-smiles and now seems a little defensive. He looks to the left and right, eyes narrow.
"Well you know, some of this and a bit of that. Tell me, who told you about my store?"

(Yup, didn't know if he was finishing this or not.)
Orp leans on the counter as it seems to be the only thing he has access to - everything else is behind the counter. Which brings to his attention that the space he occupies is bare and large enough for a scuffle, the odds likely not in his favor. Best be careful.
The man behind the counter also leans upon it with both hands but not in a casual manner.
"Oh yeah? And just who are YOU then?"

"Hmmm lanky bugger aren't you. Still, you seem like you might have a way with people... tell me, what 'other' skills might you possess eh?"
That was not at all a simple question. Orp knew that this man was interested in somewhat... non conventional talents.

Orp's dabbling in metal magic has the desired effect and the ring raises - awkwardly - and then floats for a moment before it is placed down. The merchant smiles and raises his eyebrows, somewhat impressed. He is quick to hide his reaction though and leans on the counter casually though, as if negotiating.
"You know, I think we might have a little something we could use you for. You looking for something part time or a little more.... permanent?"
That question was about as comfortable as a knife in the spleen.

The merchant sneers and laughs in a disgusting manner.
"Alright? Yeah if you say so....
The BOSS will decide whether he keeps you or not mate and if you're going to do work for him, then you're either in or out. If I were you, I'd think about it for a good, long minute before taking it on; alright?
We don't like people who tend to change their minds."
THAT was most certainly a stern warning. Seems this route would either get him in or get him dead.

The merchant rubs his hands together and smiles in a wicked manner.
"Alright then, you're on. We have a problem we need sorting out, I imagine you can handle it. Seems we're a little low on a certain herb that we need for..... medicine. Great stuff, cures everything.
Problem is it's hard to find this time of year and whoever has it isn't parting with it. It's known as lizard weed. Bring me.... oh I dunno, 10 plants or so and we'll have a chat about your future working with us."

The store seems to have common goods - and a lot of crates and such that could contain most anything.
(I am gonna let you run with this and actually attempt to complete you objective by interacting with other PCs. I will step in when needed. Be creative )
