Grayell was by the lake and had a fire blazing as the sun started to peek over the horizon, it was evident he'd spent the night. He smiled when he saw Kerag and his kill and got to his feet, folding his arms with a nod.
Hm. Man's brother. I take it you took him honorably.
Grayell took a seat and dragged out his knife, which he handed to Kerag with a smile.
Alright. Well you're about to get a crash course in cleaning your kill as well. Start with...
We won't be detailing it here. Rather gruesome business that, but needless to say, Grayell walked Kerag through the process of skinning and cleaning his kill.
The thought of this as a test hadn't even crossed the orc's mind. He started his task dutifully, grinning back at Gray.
"Aye so do I."
Kerag took the cups and filled both of them with blood. A little steam drifted upward still a bit warm. He then took his knife and used tremendous strength to cut through and tear apart the meat they needed, portioning them out between what they would eat now, and smoke later. It was laborious, but he enjoyed it all the same. The bag of herbs were peculiar to him, and he thought idly of his signature red herbs.
"Stuffed bear eh? Never was much of a cook either."

It took quite some time but once the labor was done, the bear meat was near ready for their meal. It dripped with fat and juices from the herbs, a sweet and peppery smell. Grayell was eyeing it, his own stomach rumbling now. The sun was above the lake now but still low in the sky, the morning's rays a little warm. Grayell moved the stump he was sitting upon back a little, the fire was indeed warm.
I imagine you're feeling quite tired after a night's hunt Kerag.
Kerag relaxed, warming his hands by the fire, looking at Gray from the corner of his one good eye. He nodded his head, but shrugged.
"I'm not fresh that's for sure. But I've endured worse for longer. The meat looks delicious however. Surely such a meal will rekindle my spent energy."
He smiled, licking his lips as he stared at their meal.
Grayell handed Kerag his share once he deemed it was done and ate mostly in silence. Bear was not a common meal, you generally didn't hunt the animal that could hunt you. But is was not unheard of and regardless, it was damn good.
He tossed the bones into a pot and set it to simmer before approaching the water to wash his hands. Drying them on his pants he looked at Kerag with a sincere look, an offer.
You sure you don't want a nap? This will be far from orthodox and you're sure to resent me later. Unless it works.
Kerag wolfed down his share almost too quickly. His stomach quit it's protests and he yawned suddenly. A nap sounded pleasant.
"I won't refuse such an offer twice Grayell, very well, I shall rest and see what you have in store for me once I wake."
The orc hesitated, unsure what the Commander meant about resenting him, curious and at the same time too tired to press the issue further. He yawned again, no longer fighting it, and laid back on the ground, falling asleep in moments.
Grayell smiled as the Orc went to sleep, it was better that he did. He would need all his focus, all of his endurance to cope with what would be deceptively simply.
Grayell covered the blood though, he'd rather not see it fly ridden before Kerag awoke. He then simply sat by the fire, watching the slow, rolling waves on the lake.
Kerag awoke not much later, feeling a hundred times better than he did after dragging the bear to camp. Amazing what a difference some good food and rest could do. He groggily came to, wondering what Grayell was up to. He yawned again, this time throwing his arms up and stretching out his relaxed limbs. He looked for Grayell and called out.
"Thanks for the reprieve, turns out I really needed it."
He chuckled ever so lightly, scratching the back of his hand and standing.

Kerag's first thought when Grayell mentioned water was the lake. Already stripped down to a white fundoshi, he immediately darted for the body of water and jumped in, drinking some as he attempted to wash the dirt and blood from his skin, hoping the stench of the bear's carcass cleansed. He swam back to the shore dripping wet, playfully grinning.
Grayell puffed air into his cheek and held it a moment before he nodded.
Alright, now we begin. Stand.... here. Alright, shift your legs further apart. Your feet... still.... some more.... alright. Turn you feet in so they are parallel, toes pointing forwards. K.
Now bend at the knees. Keep your rear in, back straight... lower.... little more.... ok. Not too shabby. Now hold your arms out.
Grayell picked up the two cups of blood now. He also grabbed a an empty pot.
Arms straight, don't bend your elbows. Good. Now turn your palms up. Hold them steady now...
He placed one cup of blood in each of Kerah's upturned palms. He then placed the bowl in front of him, a couple of feet away.
Ok. You have begun. If you want to lighten the load, you need to move the blood from the cups to the bowl. When they are empty, you're done. How you do this is up to you. Only one way will teach your something I imagine.
