The night was both quiet and beautiful. Glowing bugs danced across the water of the lake a ways from Wistvale and were occasionally met with a 'ploink' in the water as a fish broke the surface and snatched one up. The fish were always active at this hour and under this moon, something that had not escaped the notice of a newcomer to the area.
Kilana Bitter grief, Bitter blow...Until the bitter end.
Kilana had been following the river for several days and eventually the river had turned into a large lake in a wooden area, but even better was the sight of lights from houses that were far up ahead. "I've..." Kilana whispered while smiling to herself, "MADE IT!!!! YEAAAH!!" she then roared as two fists punched the air above her. Her voice boomed through wooden area which scared off some the birds out of the trees, but this happy celebration was cut short as soon as her stomach began to growl loudly. "Ugh," she winced slightly at the uncomfortable feeling in her stomach, "guess I'll hunt me some fish now that I found this fresh lake." Strong yet graceful hands untied the leather cover and unveiled the deadly blade of her spear. She then took off her booties and stepped into the cold water to look for some fish. Luckily the moonlight and Luminous Hat provided enough light for her to see through the clear water. Her keen eyes caught a fish and quickly reacted by throwing her spear at the moving target. Unfortunately, Kilana failed at her first attempt and since she was hungry this had irritated the grumpy red head very much so. "Damn YOU!" she yelled at the fish, that was swimming around several feet away from her, whilst shaking an angry fist at it. "We'll see who's quicker this time!" she growled while grabbing the spear to pull out the blade from the ground. The fish kept on moving but Kilana steadied herself and kept as still as she could so as to not scare the fish away and keep the ripples from blurring her target. She leaned the spear back once more and with one strong throw the spear pierced through the fishy flesh. A satisfied grin bloomed across her face and then proceeded to trudge through the water to claim her prize.
Kilana had no idea at the present time, but her ruckus in the water had carried quite a ways. A set of eyes had stopped atop a rock on the hill by the lake and hunkered lower to the ground, concealed in the shadows there. They watched her with keen alertness, interested in just what she was doing.
As she moved toward her fishy, the figure in the dark slipped from the rock without noise or signal. It stopped, casually crouched in the underbrush, but it's eyes remained on her. Now closer than before.

Two arms raised the spear up from the water and at the end of it was a nice fat fish that was at least fifteen inches long. "Now this is a proper fish to catch," she chuckled and then trudged back to land. Her feet were freezing cold and so wasted not time to put her boots back on to warm up her feet. Not noticing the silent figure close by Kilana kept on marveling at her catch. However a happy grin turned into scowl once the red head realized that she no longer had supplies to gut the fish and roast it on a fire, "This is just FANTASTIC. I have a beautiful fish here but no tools to help me eat it... unless," she paused and then gazed towards the town up ahead.
((poop, didn't equip some flint and small knife! lol))
The voice came from behind her, sounded perhaps 50 feet away. It sounded very matter of fact, not menacing... but the fact that it spoke out from the dark around her wasn't entirely comforting.
Should she turn to see, she would only make out the moonlight framed silhouette of a man.
Kilana Bitter grief, Bitter blow...Until the bitter end.
For a second her eyes widened at the sound of a stranger's voice behind her, but her gaze grew steely for she was not entirely happy for being sneaked up on. Plus, Kilana had just found this new town and already she had a creepy stalker watching her every move. No, none of this she liked at all.
Kilana whirled around, with spear in both hands, ready for an attack. Oblivious of the fact that she perhaps looked quite silly with a fish still stuck on her blade as if she were going to bludgeon the shadowy figure to death with a dead fish.
Her eyes couldn't tell what the person looked like and this irritated her more, "Show yourself!" Kilana growled at him.
The man approached and as he got close enough, she could make out his face. He was young, no more than 19 years or so. He had a pleasant smile and was dressed as any normal town person might. He stopped beyond the reach of her spear and lifted his hands, showing them to be empty.
"Easy now miss, I said I could you help you."
Kilana Bitter grief, Bitter blow...Until the bitter end.
"Help me, eh?" she looked at him with narrowed-untrusting eyes, "help me with what?...attacking me from behind and stealing my fish?" she waved her spear threateningly, with fish still at the end, at him. "And keep your hands up, unless you want to get gutted too," Kilana said coldly.
As he stepped closer the moonlight had made his appearance more clearer. Kilana let out a frustrated cry for it was only a teenage boy that looked to be quite harmless...so far. "You look too young to be out late at night" she said in a calmer tone while retreating her spear back to her side. "What where you doing in the dark?...I could've killed you, you know."
"You didn't scare me," she mumbled under her breath as her gaze turned away from him. She then huffed out a sigh whilst frowning at her dead fish, "I suppose not." Strong hands grabbed the fish and slid it off the blade, "Might as well make you useful, right?" she chuckled, a sign that her mood was much more at ease now. "Do you have a knife and some flint?" she asked.
Kilana stood there with her hand stretched out for the knife. She felt like laughing at his facial expression but decided against it since it could be some sort of physical disability or maybe it was just, "Something in your eye?" she asked with an eyebrow raised.
Largely due to an obscure expression by the GM, it seems that Kilana had mistaken this man's intent. His disturbed smile turned into a look of malice and spoke only of murderous intent and as she reached out he snapped his hand onto her wrist and lunged for her throat with the knife.
"DIE BITCH!"
.... the knife never struck home. The dark had concealed more than his eyes and before it could end her, a hand had come from the night and snapped onto his wrist. It squeezed and then folded his arm back, eliciting a yelp from the man. His attacked, a large man with shaggy white hair stepped between them and growling menacingly, crushed the wrist and forced the knife to drop.
You're under arrest sunshine. But first...
Grayell swung a savage elbow into the man's face, obliterating his nose. He then slapped the man's throat with an open hand and dropped him, delivering a subtle kick to force him to his side. Grayell stood on the man's shoulders, pinning him to the ground and then turned to face Kilana with a smile.
Sorry about that. I've been tracking him for some time. These woods aren't safe most night miss.

Kilana was taken aback since she didn't expect such a viciously quick reaction from the teenage boy...damn, maybe she shouldn't underestimate teenageers and even the kids in this town. The wrist that he grabbed was the arm that held her food and the burst of raw tension had made her hand react. Within two seconds flat a squished pile of fish was on the ground. Fortunately, she still held her spear in the other hand but before she could create a bloody hole on the young man's throat a mysterious hand shot forth from the darkness and stopped him from causing any harm against Kilana.
You're under arrest sunshine. But first...
And before her big brown eyes the teenage body dropped to the floor all thanks to the white haired stranger. He flashed her a smile and Kilana just stared at him awkwardly...the red head wasn't exactly use to having other people helping her out in these type of scenarios.
Sorry about that. I've been tracking him for some time. These woods aren't safe most night miss.
"Well, I'm sure you're thankful for finding him for you then..." Kilana finally grinned back at him, "but what is the name of the man I owe thanks too?" she asked. "Although I must say...even if you didn't show up, I'm pretty sure I could've done the same thing if not better," Kilana joked but the look in her eyes was lethal and even more so as Kilana stared down at his attacker. The fiery red head would've definietely killed him if the stranger hand't showed up.
