Miroslaw looked to his wolf after taking in the awful aftermath. He was just thoroughly beaten, and nearly lost his life to a very powerful, and very crazy old man. He plopped down on the ground, letting out a large breath of air. Evelynn crawled up into his lap and Miroslaw ran his fingers through her fur. He was gone, deep in thought, merely staring forward onto his camp.
After a long while, the only sounds coming from his panting wolf, Miroslaw said to Eve, “I think its time to move, girl.” He did not want to stay here and wait for the old man to come back and succeed at burying him alive. His Gods were clearly sending him a sign. Not to mention, he has grown quite weary of trying so hard to be something he is not. As unsocial as he may be, he's no wilderness survival expert either. However, taking Evelynn into the city would certainly get some serious attention, but he was not about to part with his pet.
“Bah!” Miroslaw let out as he stood up and began shoving all of his possessions into bags. He did not have too much nor was it too much for him to carry. Three decent sized bags and one medium sized box later, he was ready to set out. “Ready to move into the town, girl?” He questioned Evelynn. “Maybe we can dress you up like a dog.” She did not know what he said, but she could tell something was up. She merely stayed close behind him as they traveled to town. He settled on the idea of attempting to pass her off as nothing more than a pooch. She was small anyways, not really threatening to much more than a rabbit.
The trek to town was a bit more wearisome. The load was cumbersome, and he only a couple short hours ago, was buried alive. Regardless, they made it. Now, he would just need to find some housing. Being inside the walls of the city would hopefully bring him more security than the unforgiving wild.
Evelynn didn’t like it one bit. Miroslaw could tell from her demeanor. She got a bit difficult and even sat down, refusing to move. Miroslaw tried coaxing her a bit, but did not have any meat to entice her with. He simply picked her up, holding her underneath his arm and continued through the gate. It was early in the morning by this time. It took hours to find a place, but when he did it, was well worth it. Even better, he did not get as many inquiries about Eve as he had expected. Most people, as usual, barely gave him a glance. People just went about their business. Miroslaw was growing to enjoy the town's appeal.
