Grayell couldn't help but smiled but shook his head. It was a combination of the suggestion and the winking of a one eyed creature - he might not have seen it all just yet but it struck him as funny. Grayell stood and offered Orp his hand.
Actually I was hoping the lady would do me the honor of a stroll and a bite to eat. I'll be sure to swing by your store sometime Orp, my name is Grayell. I sell some herbals in that same area.
The barkeep set a glass of water in front of the travel-weary man. Perhaps the barkeep was accustomed to paying close attention to newcomers when they entered. Not many people were able to hear Simeon's muffled plea. The man, who was wearing a long brown cloak over his clothing, eagerly reached for the glass but gingerly drank very little at first. He knew that to drink too quickly could cause more harm than good.

Rue walked timidly into the Tavern, afraid of what she might encounter. She stepped into the building, passing an intimidating-looking cyclops and a couple on their way out. When she entered the Tavern, it was almost empty. She walked up to the bar and sat at a stool, asking the barkeep for a glass of water. She sat there, looking at her surroundings and thinking about whether or not she should settle down in this shanty town for a while.

(I just realized I never had Daenien leave. DX)
Daenien had somehow managed to fall asleep, and keep asleep throughout the events since. Finally, though, he blinked awake and sat up. "Wha...? Oh. Mustah fell asleep..." He glanced around quietly, then went back to his drink.
Simeon was now on his second glass of water and already he felt quite a bit better--still a bit weak but he wasn't about to collapse. He beckoned the barkeep. ":ahem: I was wondering if you might have something I could eat--perhaps some bread? Although, I must admit... I just arrived and I don't have any gold on me." Simeon sincerely sounded like he was making a request and not like a beggar or any other street wretch. Simeon seemed to be (or at least he hoped that he seemed to be) a trustworthy person who would pay back any debt.
((If someone wants to rp the barkeep they are welcome to do so.))
Rhogarus comes walking in, looking at all the people sitting at the tables and chairs, he then remembered he was hungry. He found a nice cherry hued table and sat down. From out of nowhere the herbivore started chewing on the table. It had a nice flavor, his favorite, cedar. Mmmm Delicious.
When the barkeep chose to ignore Simeon's inquiry, he resorted to other means of finding resources. After drinking another glass of water and resisting his temptation to start bug-eyed at the--well, bug... he calmly approached the archeress. Out of the tavern's current patronage, she seemed most likely to be the most helpful. The other man at the bar didn't quite seem trustworthy... perhaps it was his eyes or his unkempt hair.
Regardless, he walked toward the archeress. Pardon me, mad--no... Excuse me, but I was wonder-- He wiped his face and head with his handkerchief to make sure there wasn't any sweat. Then he spoke, "Hello there. May I join you?"

Daenien rolled his eyes slightly at the man's hesitancy to come near. If he saw him again, he'd make sure to pick his pockets so clean he wouldn't have to wash them for a month. He sighed slightly and took another swig of his drink.
Simeon had not expected that at all... He thought he'd have to engage in regular conversation and then ask where someone could get food for very little to nothing. After all, she had ordered water as well. He assumed she--well, either way he had assumed wrong. "Oh. Well, thank-you very much. That's very kind of you. My name is Simeon, and you've just done more than I would have asked. Thank-you again." He smiled kindly at her. It was a friendly, sincere smile and wouldn't have been confused for anything else.
