Ivy grinned with excitment. Finally, he stopped talking! Now it was something she could handle and she ran to the side as she took her bow and a few arrows from her back. she nocked an arrow and placed the others lightly in her mouth before she aimed for an eye and let her arrow fly.

The lizard beast was too close to Ivy and too agile for the girl to get a clean shot. Before she knew it, the creature was in front of her and struck out hard with the back of it's clawed hand, sending her tumbling towards the water's edge. Some, if not all, of the arrows in Ivy's mouth were strewn across the ground...
Ivy jumped up as soon as she was able. Well, her best weapon was not a choice here. Would she have enough energy to kill it with water? She went to the waters edge and used her magic to make rather small water hands. She decided she would drown it and spun, using the hands to try and shove the giant lizzard into the water so she could hold it down.

Had the lizard creature been lighter, Ivy's water attack may have been effective, but since the beast was heavily muscled the water did little more than knock it down and infuriate it. In return of the cool shower, the snake-headed thing lifted up a nearby crate, that was waiting to be loaded onto a ship, and hurled it at the half mer girl.
Blowing out an irritated breath, Ivy quickly did the only thing she could think of at the time, and she shoved herself off the docks and into the water, thanking her father for being full mer and making her half. She swam a little ways from the dock and used her magic to make whips with the water, sending them to wrap around the creature and yank it into the water with her, so she could drown it.

One such watery whip wrapped itself around one of the lizard beast's legs and swept it off it's feet. The creature clawed at the ground as it was pulled towards the sea, trying desperately to find purchase on anything it could.
And it did.
Stubbornly, the serpent-headed beast dug its sharp claws into a heavy crate, feet away from the water's edge and it hissed in defiance. Ivy's plan had hit a wall.
Ivy glared at the lizard creature, getting fustrated. She saw some of her arrows up on the dock, so she quickly swam over to the side and used the water to lift her out, rolling and scooping up some arrows, no longer using the water whip. Instead, she grinned at it and ran towards it, an arrow ready to stab.

Except, in the time it took Ivy to swim back to the dock, and having lost control over the water whip whilst doing so, the ferocious lizard had turned it's attention towards those individuals that had not been smart enough to run or hide.
Switching back and forth between running on two and four legs, the lizard darted down the docks and sprang on board one of the anchored ships. The ship's crew scrambled about on deck to find shelter. Some men ran below deck, while others jumped overboard. One man tried to climb the rigging only to be pulled down and torn to shreds.
Ivys eyes went wide with horror. That Mr pipsqueaks pet thing was going after other people, when he brought it just for her. Watching a man get torn to shreds brought back memories from the last night Sera was in their old village, and Ivy rushed to pick up her bow, running towards the thing as she used her magic again to make a whip, aiming to wrap it around its back legs and drag it away from the people. Quickly shoving wet hair from her face, she stopped close to the thing and nocked an arrow, took quick aim and let it fly, aiming for the side of the thing.

Ivy's magic failed to reach effectively and did little more than slosh water over the ship. Her arrow, on the other hand, struck the destructive lizard in the side just as it was about to go below deck to hunt for other prey.
The beast let out a terrifyingly loud hiss as pain shot through its scaly body. Tearing the arrow from its flesh and casting it aside, the wounded lizard turned its attention back on the little blonde girl. Blood trickled from its side as it made a mad dash towards her...
Ivy let out a sigh of relief as it turned to leave the ship alone, and grinned when it went for her and she backpedled, tossing her bow aside gently and went to use a water whip again, aiming to get ALL its legs this time. She didnt think her arrows would kill it, and she worked towards tossing it in the water

Ivy's control over the water allowed her to grab onto two of the airborne beast's legs, as it launched itself from the ship. But the lizard continued to fly through the air, now tumbling uncontrollably through the air and subsequently bumped into the little blonde girl, sending both of them into the drink.
Knowing she needed to focus, Ivy didnt waste any grinning at it, instead, she focused her attention on keeping the beast under the water while she went to the surface. She was glad the thing was in the water, it would make things easier for her, she hoped.

The lizard beast was thrashing around in the water, wildly, as Ivy focused on keeping it beneath the surface. Her plan seemed to be going well until the stubborn creature latched onto the half mer's leg, pulling her under, as well.
Ivys eyes opened wide as she started twisting her leg around to get it free from the lizards grasp. Hoping her magic would work the way she wanted it under the water, she focused her attention to use the water to push at the lizard, trying to get it away from her.
