Enuyu could make very little sense of the world. Throwing out so much Ki in one effort left her feeling somewhat disconnected, even though conversely she was acutely aware of how awful she felt. Somewhere far away, seemingly through echos and distortion, Diegis' voice filtered in. It sounded urgent.
At first, her limbs did not wish to respond. But what they wanted and what she demanded of them were two different things. They were not broken and her heart still beat, they could damn well fall in line. First to her knees, next one foot, then the other; and she was standing. She wobbled once, but she was on her feet.
The way her stomach was she didn't think she'd be hungry again any time soon. Her vision swam, so she blinked, then shook her head to clear it. From how it made her feel it seemed the shaking wasn't the best idea; but when she opened her eyes again she was no longer seeing double. Perhaps her eyes decided to co-operate just so she wouldn't do that again.
What she saw wasn't any comfort. The mist still clung to the ground, and the wisps were still present; though it looked as if they might be confined to the little cemetery. Maybe.
It took her a long moment to have wits enough to follow Diegis' gaze. The object of that gaze was a woman who looked ordinary enough. But her presence was palpable and it was an unsettling thing; quite a feat given what had already transpired this evening.
Her voice was weak, worn, and thin sounding, despite how her lungs were panting to feed her precious air. "Diegis. I think leaving would be good. We should find the Sentinels."
Walking seemed entirely possible. Running on the other hand seemed like a pipe dream given how drained she was. Even if she did manage to run, it certainly wouldn't be far. But, staying seemed to be no option at all.
