Zaedus returned Grayell's embrace in kind, glad to see an old friend yet reside here none the less slightly busy with the new applicant. He turned to Magdalena, and bowed his head in turn.
" Well met, and many thanks on your humble greetings for first introductions. Yes, I would be whom someone spoke of concerning my name has been passed around it seems."
He took the seat Grayell offered him, as well as the cigar. He was wary at first of it, the scent was always overpowering but he did not mind the taste. he awkwardly set it in his mouth and leaned back. He eyed the woman in front of him, eyes squinted almost critical. He turned back to Grayell, the grin returning from before.
" Yes, and a time I shall give tongue to yet on my travels and why I have been away from home for so long. And I know too well of what you speak of the wood."
His gaze once again fell upon Magdalena.
" So, the mantle of captain is what you seek? 'Tis but an honor to bear said title, I held it myself many years ago. Grayell sat in command while Marg and myself carried out tasks in our own capacity, along side with what Grayell seemed to be appropriate at the time. Most of the men that walk the streets we trained, turned upstart brats of boys to men with a sense of dignity."
He looked her up and down with a calculating glance. He sensed she was no stranger to combat, nor order for that matter. He simply nodded to himself and returned his gaze back to Grayell.
" I think she would suite it, though that is just my opinion for I know not of what standard you may seek for new captains. I would say if she so desires let her have the title and see what comes of it, for if she falters one can easily see it in the men."
