Kiga had no blasted clue what she was talking about, which was entirely his fault of course. He was slurring quite terribly.
No... no, dragon BREASHTSH. BEWBSH. BIG, BOUNCHY DRAGONSH BEWBSH!
He giggled and rocked back, feet swinging up in front of him... and then toppled backwards. He laid on his back, legs dropping back to rest against the box and his arms thrown to either side.
I... I bet they're all shcaly and shtuff. WEIRD.

Ely blinked at him, her eyes widened the pupils dilating.
Oh. He was talking about ...boobs. That was why he was staring at her chest. Or was staring at it, she looked over the box.
Her face flushed a bright red, and for a minute she couldn't even think, let alone do all those things that most people did as a matter of course. You know, like breathing, having her heart beat, and stuff.
"...scaly?"
This was not a good idea. Ely did not want to continue the line of conversation, but, well morbid curiosity about what he might say next spurred her on.

He sat up suddenly, quiet excited that she apparently agreed with him. His eye was wild and he scuttled his butt toward her, getting quite close as the crate would allow.
And you know what? They PROBABLY hash schaly buttsh too! SCHREW EM ALL I SHAY, SHTINKIN LISHARDS WITH THEIR SHCALY BEWBSH AND BUTTSH, ISH MAKING ME SHICK!

Ely was at a loss for what to say after Kiga's new outburst. She was going to have to remind him at a later date about not drinking Dragon's Breath again... EVER.
In fact, Ely decided she wouldn't touch the stuff either. Just in case. She gave up trying to figure out how to get Kiga home, too. It seemed simple enough to begin with, just ask the man... wait. Hang on.
She hadn't asked him where he lived. She had forgotten. Smart Ely, the blind leading the blind.
"Kiga?"

“Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.”
Kiga was looking up at the sky and reaching for something that wasn't here but appeared quite close to him apparently... and then he looked at her wirth a subtley surprised look.
Whoa.
He blushed a little and straightened our his gloves.
Mish, you shure are pretty.
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely had leaned too far over the box. Kiga had reached out and she snapped back, stumbling to the side and grabbing at her staff to keep from falling over.
"...thank you."
Her voice was a little breathless, and not because of the stumble.
Ely had men paying attention to her since her boobs became visible, which had happened over night, or at least it had seemed so to her. One day she was just another girl wandering around with all the other neighborhood kids and the next morning.
BANG.
BOOBs.
And boys falling all over themselves to get her attention.
She glanced at Kiga again.

“Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.”
Kiga smiled in a manner that was not unlike a certain pirate who also had some associattion with birds.
You, are sho very welcome. Now quick! We musht continue our quesht!
He slipped off the crate and began to march now, which wasn't going so well. He was continuing to head away from the street which was a start - until he stopped. Hands on his hips, he swung about to look at Ely once more.
I um.... hashn't the foggiesht ash to what we wash doin.
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely had followed Kiga's marching steps, only coming to a halt when he spun around. She quickly pulled her head to the right, too, to avoid being whacked in the noggin by his wildly swinging hand. More giggles were trying to escape out of her lips, again. From mysterious and quiet to outlandish and loud Kiga was certainly a novel experience. She had not run into anyone quite like him before.
When he confessed to not knowing what the "quesht" was Ely pounced on his final words like, umm, a cat on a bird.
"We were headed back to your place to defend it from the cat people, Kiga."
Ely apologized to the god of all fire cats for this blatant lie under her breath. He would probably be amused by the whole situation, but, it never hurt to be respectful. Casventh's mischievous bent for humor was well known, however so was his quick temper. Nevertheless, she was not about to let such an opening pass by.

“Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.”
Kiga turned his head, though it lolled to one side as his drunken eyes settled on her. He stared a moment, his mind obviously trying to grind into action.
My plashe?
Kiga stared a while longer, before his eyes drifted upwards. He now stared at the sky as if it's endless depths held some vital answer, his brow furrowing and him struggling to think straight. It wasn't that elusive and the response came of course. He was no longer elated or animated, his words were quite somber... though still drunk.
Ely frowned at him. Not because of the revelation that he had no place to go, but the new note in his voice. He'd been terse in the bar, he had been cautious as well when trying to warn her, and the last bits he'd been earnestly silly about dragon boobs. He had not been sad, or so lost sounding.
"Kiga? I'm new here, you wouldn't know somewhere we could go before it gets really dark would you?"
This was asking a lot of a guy who had been boxing at shadows, ranting about cat people, stumbling over crates, and telling her he could fly.

Kig grabbed her wrist very quickly and more quickly than that, he began sprinting down the alleyway. It was surprising that he suddenly had a rather reasonable amount of coordination - nothing too astounding by Ely's standards but quite remarkable given his persistent stupor.
The better part of her surprise might have come though when he raced them toward a wall and at the last moment, a forceful blast of wind lifted them with a leap from the ground and deposited them upon the roof atop that wall.
Kiga slowed to a walk and smiled, cooing gently. Standing ahead of them was a large, rectangular pigeon cage. It wasn't small nor carelessly constructed and obviously, the collection of birds within were someone's very serious hobby, likely carriers.
Kiga smiled and spoke to the birds as he fumbled the latch on the door, then slipped inside. The birds seemed perfectly comfortable with his presence and he cracked the door open for Ely. He was talking to the birds though.
Roomiesh, thish ish mish pretty fashe Ely. She ish my new girfle... she ish my new garlfe... she ish my new grrlfrub.....
Sheesh. She ish my new girl I telsh ya. And Shtuffsh.
Ely [M:164:1653:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=394&page=1#14814]A soul on fire...[0:Snuffed][1:Flame On!]
Ely yelped in surprise. She did not expect him to leap up and go rushing down the street; not without stumbling or falling into something. Hell, she was shocked the crate he was just laying on wasn't tangled around his feet, or still attached to him. Her eyes widened to inhuman proportions, too; while the wall grew larger in her vision. She was positive he was going to bang them both into the stone.
The blast of air carried them up and above the wall too fast for her to react. They landed on the roof and Ely was more excited than alarmed. In fact, there was a truly wonderful rush that made her heart beat rapidly.
Kiga's "plashe" was a pigeon coop? Why did this surprise her? Then he started talking.
Ely wanted to laugh hilarously again. Seriously. She wanted to ball up and do nothing but laugh, for days. He was introducing her to the birds as if they were his parents or family. And, after everything else he'd said tonight maybe they were, she didn't know. Suddenedly she didn't just want to kiss him she wanted to hug him; wrap her arms around him and hold on.
Odd.
Ely was a girl that didn't much care for connections beyond those in the moment. That said, she wanted to be his girl.
