THEY COME!!
The first came over the wall and Grayell was immediately upon it, his sword gleaming as the first strike cleaved the air and then reddened, stained once it had severed his enemy's head clean from it's terribly twisted shoulders. It's tendril like appendages whipped about frantically as life left it's body and he kicked it in the small of it's back, sending it tumbling to one side and rolling off the cliff into the blackened abyss below.
The second too tried to scramble over the same point, they had barely enough to throw up the makeshift barrier and here, at it's most vulnerable point, Grayell would stand his ground. The spear came for his chest as he rushed forward once more, but he tilted, twisted so that it merely whisked by. He had not stopped closing on his target and before they could hope to drag that spear back again he was inside it's effective range, his blade severing both front legs of the crustaceous abomination. A thing as strange as this deserved a made up word.
He drew back and glanced up, cut clean through the haft of the spear and as the freed end turned up and tumbled... he snatched it from the air and spun, thrusting it behind and beside him and promptly skewered the monster's face with it.
The rest came on, an endless sea of such cruel abominations, there was no guessing their nature or defining a weakness for each was as chaotic, as random as the next. This landing, a bottomless pit on the left side and a crude barrier erected in front of our heroes surely would be the landscape for a battle of the ages.
Block the gaps with their bodies! Make them fight their own dead before they get at us the mongrels!
(So. The deal is simple. Open to everyone and anyone. Really simple rules.
- You get to describe your enemies. Each is unique.
- GMs can have larger enemies enter the battle and encourage team effort. They should state if they wish to confirm attacks on such enemies but please, don't clutter the thread.
- You can add scenery. We have a crude barrier and a cliff to our left. Feel free to add more elements. Once such an element is added, all players should abide by it. Or even utilize it.
- I would like to see the reason as to why we are all fighting a horde of whatevers slowly constructed by the character's own interaction. Conversation. Build a story.
- I will be keeping you on your toes.
- Post as often as you like and make it bad ass.
- Rewards will be based on participation and quality.
- Rewards will be unique and somewhat chosen by you....)
