Suddenly flung into the air, she reacts on instinct, rolling into a position to land mid-air. She catches sight of the men marching towards Wistvale, and has the stench of the alcoholic material hit her hard. What is that thing...?
"I... I don't know... what we could do at this point..."
Alec [M:118:6:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=412&page=1#1242]"I see," said the blind man to the deaf lady.[0:Wandering the stacks.][1:Present and accounted for.]
"Neither do I," Alec says, grimacing. "Either we build a trap, we try and beat them to town or signal them, or...well, all else failing, we just attack them. Or any other plans you come up with."
Come in under the shadow of this red rock, and I will show you something different from either your shadow at morning, striding behind you, or your shadow at evening, rising to meet you. I shall show you fear in a handful of dust.
"If... if you need me to... I... I can... try to distract them... to give you time... We... we have to just... do what we can..."

Forcing a small part in the branches, Alec sighs. "I'd rather we didn't split up, but it might come to that." Following the two of them out, he rubs at his chin. "Maybe, if Chaz could put together a trap, we could use Tallia as a lure...no, no. That's a last resort."

At a loss, and with no time, she simply leapt into action, throwing all caution to the wind. She jumped from their spot and came directly behind the group, low to the ground. With a ferocious growl, she charged towards them, her sword ready...
...and then jumped, slashing at the wind, while she headed for the nearest tree to perch herself upon. With her distraction over and done with, she watched the group curiously, not sure of how they should react.

Alec hisses, reaches out, and snatches at Tallia, and his face falls as he brushes the side of her leg.
The giant, bearded men all shout in their strange language, and several take reflexive swipes at the blur passing over them. One of them, after Tallia took her place on the branch, reaches down to his belt to grasp an expertly weighted axe. The apparent leader, a large man even by their massive standards with a great, flowing, white beard and a single eye, pushes the other's hand away and barks something in their strange language.
Arms spread wide, palms up, this one-eyed man takes a few tentative steps towards Tallia, and says in a very badly accented Common, "I am...sore-ree for my fronds'...um...act-chuns. We do no want to...hurt? you."

He spoke...? In Common...? Interesting... With the way he apologized, she began to feel beyond terrible. Slinking down from the tree, she approached them slowly.
"Oh... I... I owe you... an apology as well..."
Sheathing her sword, she took as graceful as a bow she could allow.
"It was... it was wrong for me to... to provoke an attack without any... harmful attempt on your end... For that, I apologize deeply... I am Tallia Felestine of the Wistvale Guard... if... if you do not mind... would you please state your group's business...?"
Alec [M:118:6:][D3v:http://rpgmenagerie.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cs&thread=412&page=1#1242]"I see," said the blind man to the deaf lady.[0:Wandering the stacks.][1:Present and accounted for.]
"We..." he begins clumsily, but not self-consciously. "How do you say...Mine er ofbeldi fólk. Við viljum ekki að ofbeldi, lengur."
Alec, stepping through the branches carefully and edging around to come out of the trees in front of the group of men, does so, holding his hands out palms out. "He says," speaking to Tallia, but keeping an eye on the Northerners, "that his people are a violent one, but that this group does not wish to be so." Then, to the Northerners, "Ég tala ekki vel í tunguna, en ég held mig ... fær?" The leader turns to him, and nods grimly.

Not entirely clear on the situation at all still, she shifts over to Alec, keeping a watchful eye over the group of men, and lowers her voice to but a whisper.
