Tallia looked around in a scouting manner. She wasn't sure what Grayell was planning this time, but she wanted to be ready for it. She gave him a nod to acknowledge his words, but continued scouting anyway, not quite waiting for the surprise.
Grayell led the way through the woods and well, didn't have a conversation with her. Geez she was shy. He stopped soon enough and turned around to face her.
Ok Tallia, I want you to close your eyes ok?
Tallia "There are some things... that we all can't escape from..."
She nodded a few more times than she was supposed to, then shut her eyelids tight before placing her hands over them. The excitement was getting to her a bit; anyone looking at her could notice she was wobbling quite a bit.
She was positively vibrating restlessly, a bit nervous, a bit excited, but completely curious. She let her hands fall to her sides, then slowly cracked her eyes open...
.... in his ambition to make her smile. All around them, tiny white flowers rose from the grass by the thousands, swirling slowly into the air and then drifting lazily on the wind. Tiny cotton flakes drifted all about them, each and every one of them glowing in the sunlight.
He stood with his arms folded, the meadow quite large - a huge sea of floating flowers dancing in the midday sun.
Tallia "There are some things... that we all can't escape from..."
A bit surprised at the display, she took a moment to catch up with herself, placing her hands upon her chest. It was so pretty... She did nothing but watch as the flowers drifted softly in the air, taking in the breeze. She felt at peace here; it couldn't do anything but clear one's mind, this meadow. Turning back to Grayell, she struggled for a bit before finding the words she wanted to say.
"I... this...it's... th... thank you... It's so... peaceful... I... I never seen anything... like this before... But, Grayell... why did you bring... me here...? How did you... find this place...?"
Tallia gave a sly grin; she knew there was something else besides the beauty of the meadow. Not one to normally back down from a challenge, she gladly accepted it. It was time to show off some of her skill...
"A... a lot more... than you think..."
With that bold reply, she drew her sword, smiling.
She ran forward, eyes focused, but not particularly so. Whipping her sword around, it almost seemed like she cut around herself, as she never stopped charging through the meadow to turn. Using a few jumps to cut the ones flying a bit higher than her reach, she ended on the other side of the meadow. Landing with one knee on the ground, she sheathed her sword, blowing her hair out of her face.
Hun, I want you to try something. Run to the other end without moving your sword. Just hold it in front of you. Don't try to hit any... lemme know how many you cut, k?
