As she continued running from this wolf-morph, she looked behind her to see her wait patiently. She's playing with me, she thought. Regardless, I just can't die here, I'll have to find a way to brush her off of my tail. Looking ahead, she only seemed to encounter more and more trees. She stopped, realizing she's quite a bit lost.
She saw an old sign, pointing through the forest that read "To Wistvale." She should probably head that way. She heard Liseth behind her, walking behind her rather loudly, as if to get her to run faster....
Tallia "There are some things... that we all can't escape from..."
Fortunate that the gods have given her a sign (almost quite literally), she chanced her luck and headed directly towards the arrow point, not stopping to look back. She listened for the wolf's footsteps, but heard them quiet as she put as much effort as she could into her full-on sprint.
Considering her options, she would have to risk getting a little wet, despite her unwillingness to do so. It slowed her pace more than it should have, but she braved a wide leap across the stream and continued sprinting.
She was splashed a little as her back foot landed in the water. She was starting to get tired. Up ahead she could see the trees parting and a farmhouse in the field beyond it. There was a barn next to it, and the farm looked to be in use. There were a few animals in the pen near the barn.
Running out of energy, and left with little choice, she started towards the farm to see if she could throw off her trail. Hiding over in hay was a little too obvious. She had to come up with something a lot more crafty in order to escape. Suddenly, it hit her. She fled towards the stalls, checking to make sure no one could spot her.
Liseth was some distance behind her. Maybe wanting to toy with Tallia would be a mistake. Liseth could see her heading in the farm's general direction, but not where she was going past that. Liseth's eyes narrowed as she poured on a little speed.
Tallia "There are some things... that we all can't escape from..."
Before she could catch her, she prayed. She threw off all of her armor and belongings, and placed them behind the barn. Stark naked, and as carefully as possible, she concealed herself within the pig's pen, making sure mud covered every inch of her body. Minimalizing movement, the pig's paid little attention to the new addition in the pen. With this much mud covering her, and her belongings (fresh with her scent), she had hoped and prayed this would throw her off.
Liseth ran up, following the trail to the pile of clothes she'd discarded. She growled, and stood up. There was a strange organic sound and there was a tall, red-haired woman, dressed in red leather armor. She looked around, slowly heading around the opposite side of the barn as Talli.
I know you're here, darling....I can smell you.
It was a lie, but Liseth didn't care. She just wanted to scare the Cathian.
Tallia "There are some things... that we all can't escape from..."
As the mysterious woman's words rang through the air, she cringed a little in her mind. Might have she made a mistake...? Did she see her...? She was doubtful, as she would be dead already. If she really was keen enough to still be able to smell her, it mattered not whether she moved or didn't. At least this way, she could simultaneously recover her strength, then come forward with a surprise attack. She breathed softly, careful to keep it within the sounds of the pig's noises and waited to see what next the woman would do...
Tallia knew better than to move an inch until she had heard her footsteps come to a quiet far away from her. Thinking back, she is a wolf, so there is that possibility that she can wait for days, which can become difficult. However, she displayed that she was only interested for the thrill, and could possibly become bored with this altogether. Either way, she kept her hopes up. She prayed she was close to town...
