"She didn't hurt me as much as I would have liked, aside from the constant restrictions. It's more the idea that she'll treat me as an object rather than a proper abomination."
Celephai was a glutton for punishment, that was sure. Endure enough pain, and you start enjoying it.
"I don't mind if you decide to come around, so long as you can put up with me..."
Celephai eyed the portion of rabbit, examining it for defect or other imperfection. Then, seemingly in disregard for caution, she downed half of it, tossing the loose bones aside as she finished the rest of it in another gulp. It wasn't bad, but she usually liked her meals still squirming.
"It'll be closer to home, soon, I assure you, but corruption is slow."
A few altars, maybe a few slightly larger obelisks... heck, if she could get a few good artifacts, she could move out onto the lake.
"As for my captor, I will let you know when we're ready to capture her."
She give a curt nod, and watched him finish the small animal. He was interesting, in many ways. Maybe that's why she continued to tolerate him. Maybe she saw something in him she didn't see in other people. Cel could only see so much, and that troubled her.
"Grayell, my door-"
She then looked over to the entrance to her little hovel. There was something lacking there, but maybe it was better to leave it wide open.
"-Well, this cave is always open to you. If you need to speak with me about anything, I'm sure you'll be able to find me here at some point or another."
Celephai was unresisting to the kiss, as strange as the sensation felt. The whole kissing thing was beyond her, but once again, courtesy prevailed. She all for chaos but she wasn't about to be rude about it.
"You behave yourself, Grayell. I don't want you dead, yet. You're too useful."
And with that she stalked back into the bedroom and slithered under the bed. It wouldn't be long before she slept again.
There was a kind of low groan, followed by an alien snoring. She was asleep, dreaming quietly of home... or now, rather, her place of origin. This was home, now, and she was quite content with it.
There were a few whispers, then a small, mumbling noise, then a voice which sounded not a whole lot unlike Celephai's, safe for the fact it sounded nervous.
"N-n-no! Go away!"
Then there was a general ruffling sound, as if someone was quickly dragging cloth over something.
There was a small rattling noise, and then total silence as he got within mere feet of the bed. For a few brief moments, things seemed completely calm, as if the world had taken a deep breath.
Then the bed seemed to decide that now would be a good time to fling itself at Grayell, which it promptly did, and at great speed. A fraction of a second later the sound of a wardrobe door slamming could be heard, but likely wasn't, due to the fact that a bed had, in fact, been propelled at Cel's only visitor.
