Kerag managed to grab the beast's jaws, stopping it for a few seconds.
Coming! Hold it still! She jumped onto the monster, grabbing onto its skin and climbing onto its head as it ripped out of Kerag's jaws. It flailed about, slamming into the walls and ceiling, Marg hanging on.
Kerag was having a hell of a time trying to hold it still, for all his strength, wrestling with a glowing snake beast wasn't an easy matter of holding on and praying for success. His arms were straining against the sheer weight and might of the necro-snake, growling and snarling at the monster as it broke free of his grasp with Margrett hanging on for dear life.
"Try to hold on!" Kerag yelled, cupping his hands together to amplify his call. His one good eye searched the ground, spotting his trusted weapon He picked up his sword and charged, shouting as he heaved the battle-blade forward and attempted to thrust steel into the glowing beast.
As the thing flew around the room, Margrett moved up, grabbing onto its jaw, pulling it up. Kerag's attack made it roar and whine, slamming into the wall, smashing Margrett. She cried out and growled, still holding on.
Kerag was impressed Margrett managed to hold on, but her plight was no less urgent for it. He smacked his forehead at her command and couldn't help but laugh, scorning himself for not thinking of it sooner. "Of course the Cauldron!" He made a sprint for the bubbling device from which the snake had arisen and promptly placed his boot against it, intending to tip it over with one good push.
Kerag managed to tip over the cauldron, sending bubbling goo spreading all over the floor. The creature roared and slammed into the ground, still active but stunned and unable to fly. Taking advantage of the lack of movement, Margrett planted a foot behind its head and pulled up its jaw.
Kerag watched Margrett set up the perfect opportunity to strike, running over to the beast, sword raised as he bellowed a deep battle cry and stabbed the giant glowing snake in the mouth, hoping to Coup de grĂ¢ce the foul aberration, throwing all of his strength and skill with a blade into the blow. "Die!" His voice grumbled, spit flying from his lips in exertion.
The thing roared and flailed, spraying vile blood everywhere. Margrett jumped off, rolling and landing in a crouch again as the thing slowed its flailing and stopped, curling into a ball. After a moment is started to hiss and bubble, dissolving into the stone floor. Margrett wiped off her armor.
Kerag's face lit with unmistakable satisfaction, laughing even as the snake's vile blood dripped from his armor and face, wiping most of it away as he walked the perimeter of the basement, walking off the painful protests from all of his muscles, trying to remember the last time he'd exerted his strength to such a degree.
"To say the least Margrett. Tonight has proven entertaining." The orc's gruff chuckle filled the room, raising a hand to count off their conquered foes. "An ogre, goblin, skeleton minions, two necromancers and a glowing snake beast." Officer Kerag made eye contact with Margrett and grinned.
"What a night! I think I shall enjoy my stay here in Wistvale."
I think I will, too. That position's still open if you're up for it. But for now... She wiped blood off her face.
Let's get these guys to someplace we can hold them. I'm sure one of our local magic users can think of something. Then, we'll get a drink. You up for it?
"Consider the position filled." He responded, looking at the bound necromancers, then back to Officer Mikael. "I could really use a pint after all of this excitement." The orc said, softly chuckling to himself, humming an old lullaby as he lifted both necromancers up and over his shoulders, intending to carry them out of the basement, to wherever Margrett wanted them taken to.
"Let us hope there is enough room for them all." He thought out-loud, having little trouble carrying the frail magic users.
Kerag laughed too, shrugging with the necromancers still on his shoulders, following her out and into the night, the crescent moon shining down upon the dark streets of Wistvale, and the two officers finishing a long nights work.
(Yay rewards! Thanks for gming Margrett, really enjoyed myself.)
