Go! Go find him! The guards nodded and ran off, leaving Napolean alone.
Zank you, my friend. Zat could have been bad.

Napolean looks back to the battle as he does this. So far so good. He's looking away and has no idea what Orp's doing.

Orp slides the knife out of his shoe and wraps his fingers carefully around it as he presses it into the palm of his hand. He tries to stand up and edge towards Napolean as silently as possible, making each step deliberate. If He could get close enough, he would simply slit the badger's throat, but if he turned, Orp would have to shoot the blade at his throat with his Metal magick. Only if his first strike failed would he switch to his wooden baton.
Napolean didn't seem to notice, preoccupied with the battle before him.

The badger gives a single gurgle of betrayal, clutching at his throat, before slumping over, dead.

OOC: I think this is the first time I've had Orp deliberately kill someone for economic benefit.
Orp tries to wipe his blade clean on Napolean's fur and rehides it in his shoe. He quickly searches the badger for anything valuable that he could snatch then tries to head off around the battle towards where the queen was without running into one of the guards.
((Well done! You're now a selfish inhuman monster! We'll get this finished up quick, I know it's gone on for a bit.)) The badger had on him a pouch containing 125 gold. The trip back was uneventful, though he nearly got caught by one of the guards. He reached the queen, who looked at him like he was some sort of ragged animal.
So?

Indeed it seemed like it would, as the badgers were already falling back. The queen smiled.
You have done well, cyclops. You originally wanted access to the jingleberries, yes?

Well then. She sat back, looking at him approvingly.
We'll give you a few small bushels now, and you'll have a share of the crop in the future. A small share. But for eliminating the badgers, that's good payment.
