... I came out here to pray of coarse. It is such a beautiful morning after all, and here I am meeting great people like you and Dani.
The warven didn't want an arguement to start just because he was the only nonbeliever of the bunch. He figured it would be a better idea to change the subject before the began to ask what he prayed about.
So... Either one of you know of any other nearby towns other than Wistvale around these woods?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
Shiryu shrugged her shoulders, she didn't even really know Wistvale, never mind the surroundings. Clearing her throat in attempt to hide her growling stomach, she replied;
"I do not, I'm afraid. I'm not even sure of Wistvale as of now.
The lady was a pretty attractive woman, but this religion focus was most likely the reason she was not married and having a family, he thought to himself.
Uhh.... any that who would reply my prayers, I suppose.
He looked over to Dani, hopefully she would have something more interesting to say.
So Dani, you seem like the traveling type. Im looking at making some good money some where. Wistvale doesn't really attract me. Know of a place that would suit me well?

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::She smiled at the man's reply with a bit of a chuckle.::
"So it is for many, my friend. Not everyone hears the call of one god over another. Most choose to worship them all equally, or depending on their needs at the time."
::She took another bite, feeling a bit guilty for eating in front of company, but it was morning and she was hungry.::
"As for other places aside from Wistvale. Wistvale is the closest, obviously. Beyond that, there is Fennen to the south and the Arbor Citadel to the east, both in Zarst.
There is Mir and Jezebel to the west in the Southern Sands.
And a place called Vanagan's Hold to the north.
Those would be the closest large towns. There are many smaller villages in between of course.
As for where I recommend you go? That depends alot on what type of work you are looking for.
And why not go to Wistvale? It is closer and offers alot for an adventurer."
"I do not aim with my hand; he who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I aim with my eye.
I do not shoot with my hand; he who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I shoot with my mind.
I do not kill with my gun; he who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father.
I kill with my heart."
The lady was a pretty attractive woman, but this religion focus was most likely the reason she was not married and having a family, he thought to himself.
Wow. The single most sexist thing I may have seen on this website o.O
((No offense to anybody. Wasn't meant to be sexist.))
Nah, they are protected by their Sentinels and Vanguards, or something like that. I feel like the gods have sent me off this morning to help those that don't have such protection. The gods work in mysterious ways.
Redblade was laughing inside, he was surprised with what he was saying himself. He could only hope that they would believe him and not sound like he was mocking them. It was most likely rude what he was doing, but he still did not want to be the only nonbeliever there. So he figured it was best to just go with it.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::She set the bones of her meal aside and looked to the Eldritch.::
"Certainly. There are ports that are always bringing in new visitors and trade, just as the cavarans through the gates. There are many and more taverns and other such places for gathering and making friends. Merchants in the streets selling wares from across the country.
And each, on occasion, needing help of some kind. Guards for wagons. Searchers of lost items. The usual.
There are also the many places to seek out training to further teach yourself. Booksellers, Mage Guilds, The town guard..."
::What else she was going to say the pair may never know, for her eyes for wide and she springs to her feet as her hands reach for her bow and an arrow from her quiver. In a smooth motion she notches and draws before a voice calls out.::
"Mornin' ladies. You want to live to see the grand walls of Wistvale, I'm afraid you're going to have to pay the toll..."
::Having approached through the trees, and using the conversation to cover their movements were a small band of bandits. They all wore piecemeal armor that had seen better days. The leaders in the best condition.
The leader held a sword and shield. To either side and fanning out to encircle the group were two more men. One larger and holding what appeared to be two woodaxes. The other average size and holding a quarterstaff in both hands.::
"I got archers in the trees, Missy. I'd be dropping that bow now."
::He gestured towards the ground with the tip of his sword.::
"I do not aim with my hand; he who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I aim with my eye.
I do not shoot with my hand; he who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I shoot with my mind.
I do not kill with my gun; he who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father.
I kill with my heart."
Springing to her feet, Shiryu slung the kite shield off her back, and stood in front of Dani.
"In the name of Lii, you may have archers, but I have a kite shield, big enough for two. Shiryu exclaimed, as she picked up her spear. Some greedy spirits must've taken control of them, and it was her duty to exorcise the demons. With her kite in front, covering the better part of the pair, Shiryu was going to stand her ground, was a fight to break out.
Redblade remains seated, showing no signs of fear to what was just now happening and remained calm. In fact he raised his arms and placed them behind his head slowly to relax it on as he leaned back to look up at the trees to see if any archers were visible. This move had another purpose as well, his hands behind his back gave him the ability to grab hold of his own shadow and focus on it to see if he could detect any other bad guys hiding in view. He said nothing.
- Detect Thought -

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
"Missy, I ain't gonna tell you twice. And your bink here needs to put down the spear. If I have to take it from her I'm going to shove it up her arse!"
::smirk::
"Besides...who said my friends were behind me..."
::With the sneer still in place, he and his men begin to close in.
Red's spell is successful and while it initially only picks up on the presence of 6 people, the number pings upwards by two as people enter the range of the spell from behind them.
Dani is already spinning to put her back to Shiryu when a crossbow bolt flies from the trees to hit her side. The pain is sharp and sudden and causes her to loose her arrow too soon, sending it off wild.::
"I do not aim with my hand; he who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I aim with my eye.
I do not shoot with my hand; he who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I shoot with my mind.
I do not kill with my gun; he who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father.
I kill with my heart."
Shiryu points the spear at the biggest cloth piece visible, loosening the grip on the weapon. With her fingers now stretched along it, she chants out loud.
"I pray to you, mighty Lii, god of justice, to smite down these sinners. Give me strenght to send them to their next life!"
- Fire Dart - Effect: A lick of flame shoots from the caster's hand as a tiny, burning projectile. Range: 15 feet. AOE: One target. Cast Time: Immediate. Power: Inflicts minor damage.
Shiryu shivers a little, as the warmth of the dart escapes her body, then tightens the grip, going back into a defensive stance.
Seeing how Dani got hit by the crossbow behind them, things were going a little faster than expected to analize the situation better. If he entered the attack, the three of them could easily be killed right then and there, being that they really did not know how many of them there really were. At this point they were pinned down, and he had to calm things down.
The warven immediatly stands up and spreads his arms out to both the girls and the men.
WHOA WHOA WHOA!!!.... Lets all calm down now. There's no need for anybody to die today.
His eyes still scanning the area to get a better view of how many they were and where they were too. He needed to buy time before he made his next move.

"I fought the law and then I was broken out... Is that a bad thing?"
::As Red rises and calls for peace he is able to see the three men that had originally confronted them ahead and to the sides, while behind there is a man crouched in the brush, reloading a crossbow while he is covered by a woman with a shortbow drawn.
Shiryu casts her spell at the leader and his eyes go wide in panic as he tries to avoid the burst of flame. It ctaches the edges of his cloak anyway and begins to catch as he franticly tries to pull it off himself.
Dani dropped her bow and her knee began to buckle under her as she grabbed at her side. She took a half step to lean against the tree where her weapons were slung and drew her sword from its sheathe as she pushed off in the direction of the bandit with the double axes in a wild spinning slash that caught the man off guard and sent him stepping backwards to avoid the blow.
The archer looses at Dani, but misses due to having a moving target.
The man with the quarterstaff steps over to provide some protection to his leader by placing himself between him and Shiryu and Sen. He takes a quick step forward and lashes out with two quick shots. One towards Sen's outstretched arm, the other a spinning blow towards Shiryu's lower leg.::
"I do not aim with my hand; he who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I aim with my eye.
I do not shoot with my hand; he who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I shoot with my mind.
I do not kill with my gun; he who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father.
