Kiko tilted her head to the side; all the length of her hair falling across the opposite shoulder. She gave a softer sighing sound, somehow managing to slip the katana back into her belt without breaking the connection between them. The image in her head was back, a pair of wolves’ nose to tail in the snow.
Small sparks of pleasure hit the base of her spine with the kiss. The charm of the moonlight faded away to be replaced by his mouth and voice.
You are welcome.

His hands found settled on her opposing hip and he turned her to face him then, a delicate, effortless maneuver. His hands crossed and laid upon her rear. She was not forced or pulled against him but his hips rested on hers, him smiling as he looked at her beauty in the moonlight. He was without words, he didn't want them but instead felt a completion, a sense of wholeness. He shared that sensation with her and felt that it was true for her as well. They had defeated their horrors together and now stood, complete.
He lifted his right hand to press gently against her cheek, his thumb brushing aside hair from her eye. The smile was constant and his eyes wandered over her face, lips and eyes forever keen points of interest. This moment lasted, a wonderment that eradicated any awkwardness that the silence may have held for him. He drew breath then.
You look tired Kiko. Immaculately beautiful, but tired. Perhaps you should rest.
Kiko did not fight him. She submitted to the silent turn, only lifting on her toes to make it easier on him. She came to a stop settled within his hands, her eyes shadowed only by her lashes. One hand fell, as gentle as a snowflake, on Grayell’s shoulder. Was it the shared blood that made it so easy to touch him?
It was a fleeting thought and done away with when he brushed his hand over cheek to tuck her hair away. It surprised a new sound from her throat, one that mimicked the purr he had made just seconds ago.
Tired I might be, but you should not have left the bed.
She made a gesture with her chin toward the tent behind them.
Your healer will be angry.

“Put some clothes on, you weird, yellow-eyed, table-dancing, werewolf-training, cryptic, stare-me-right-in-the-eyes-and-don't-even-blink wench.”
Grayell looked to the tent and back to her, smiling only wider. His arms wound tighter and pulled them a little closer, bellies now pressed together. His hand shifted, caressed circles on her backside and small of her back, arms squeezed gently on her side. He thought about her words and only chuckled softly, then shook his head.
She is asleep as I have been for days. Kiko...
His lips parted, moistening his dry mouth.
I dreamed of you. And not one moment was so beautiful as you are now. I have missed you.
Kiko’s eyes were in danger of falling shut again. The caress to her back and spine was so very alluring, the soft chuckle even moreso. Her fingers spilled over the ridge of his shoulder to find the back of his neck.
I missed you.
She did not know how to respond to the compliment, and she was surprised to find her words so intent. She had missed him. Not just because of worry, not just because he’d offered his life, but because she missed him; his presence in the world around her.

“Put some clothes on, you weird, yellow-eyed, table-dancing, werewolf-training, cryptic, stare-me-right-in-the-eyes-and-don't-even-blink wench.”
Grayell swallowed, his lower lip pulling in, under his teeth. He lowered his head then and pressed his forehead to hers, his hands pulling her entirely against him now. His breath was sweet, steady and almost cautious, but his arms now wound about her waist entirely. He smiled again, eyes staring at hers and then downward in thought.
You know.... I should kiss you. I have wanted to. From the moment I met you Kiko, you have stirred something in me, you light a fire inside, start a song in my soul.
And now I know you as you know me, now I feel you in me. Each breath feels like it is yours and mine to share, our skin touches and it feels like I have touched the face of the creator.
I.... know I am being forward. But I cannot deny this magic that brings us together any longer. You have not chosen me but again, free of the beast; I choose you.
I ask nothing. I will only accept what you would give. That is my vow.
Her palm had found several strands of his hair. She played them through her index finger and thumb. He lowered his forehead to hers and it only encouraged her to linger in that sensation. Her lower body was tangled around his hips, thighs, and arms. She had no desire to move away.
She was watching his mouth, or listening to his voice, she couldn’t decide when he started speaking. She wanted to stop him several times, contradict his words, and tell him that he was wrong to think such things of her. It was even on the edge of her mouth but before she could something inside reared up and broke through those thoughts.
She knew how he felt. She could feel him. Why was it so surprising he felt the same? She was still puzzling that out when he said the last few words.
She pulled his head closer with her hand, reaching out before she had to chance to think about it. Her teeth tugged at his bottom lip and her voice was softer than it had been before.
What if I kiss you instead?

His eyes closed as his head tilted. A hand found her neck and wanted her closer, the arm about her waist lifting her slightly, like a handling a snowflake. His lip, now plucked from her teeth brushed over hers slowly, a gentle artist's stroke of the brush that savoured every sensation before his mouth opened and instinctively found her lips - a perfect bond. His breath met hers, his head swooned and drowned in the kiss, his pulse fluttered in his chest and heart. Lips stroked, his breath caught in his throat at how delicate, how plump, how incredibly soft her kiss was; and then breathed his hunger into her.
His lips closed on hers, tasted her again, fed him her sweet depth and desire. His hand at her neck stroked soft skin there, caressed the locks that adorned her back - as the tip of his tongue almost tentatively wet a loop over her lower lip and then the upper.
The light from the moon kissed the snow in this same manner, the sky and the earth were one... and on this white canvas stood the joined silhouette of two souls, their fates entwined.
Both of Kiko’s hands slid up the sides of his face. Her fingers fanned out in the expansive white strands that decorated his head. And if he savored the sensations that were born in the kiss she came to life with them. The animal that lurked beneath the surface and powered her deeper thoughts recognized the hunger in him.
A whine broke from her mouth to be muffled by his lips and where it ended she could not say. By then her mouth ached with the same hunger, her lips begged for another taste, her hands dropped from his hair curl up on his back, and pleased sounds were coming from her throat.
There was another spark at the base of her spine. A flash of an image in her head. This time the wolves were racing through the snow covered tundra, tails streaming out behind them.

“Put some clothes on, you weird, yellow-eyed, table-dancing, werewolf-training, cryptic, stare-me-right-in-the-eyes-and-don't-even-blink wench.”
Grayell sighed inside, a feeling that ran the length of his body. It stirred between his thighs, his stomach, in his chest, in his neck. He held her close, kept their warmth and his body came alive with the touch now, more than warmth, an all encompassing awareness of every inch of skin that contacted. He turned her with him for no reason, their kiss swimming over him and causing such non-conscious motion. He could taste her, her lips and mouth beyond belief, he could smell her, her scent filling him entirely; he could feel her, her touch brining him alive and begging to know more.
He died on her lips, his inner self transended then to something entirely spiritual, but regained it's foothold in his body to know only this moment, this kiss. His breath brought a sound from him, a gasp and a hunger, a split second of non-thought utterance when they parted, him studying her before kissing her again. He needed her, would not let her go; and each time he broke that kiss, pulled back to look on her he sighed inside, died again and wanted more.
He could not part from her so easily, their bond was his world, his life, the only thing worth living for. His hand dragged delicate fingers down her cheek and he gasped for air as he broke their bond, his forehead pressing to hers again. He swallowed, licked and tasted his lips. It took him a moment but he still held her close, no thought given to parting. There were no words to describe this, my words now have only failed it's splendour.
He found his voice, softened by this passion of course.
Kiko echoed his sigh when it came. Her fingers mapped the ridges and valleys of his spine, her palms massaging the skin as they went past. She remained in the circle of his arms listening to every clue his body was giving her. When the flesh moved or twitched beneath her hand she slowed the motion to explore it even further. Her mouth was still lifted to him, the length of her throat and neck offered, as well. Feminine instinct gave her the knowledge of where to twist or turn and how to tempt or enflame.
She returned time and time again to Grayell’s mouth for other kisses, fleeting bites, and gentle breath that showered her lips in warmth. And when he stopped her eyes went back him, fingertips coming off his spine to run across the wet skin of his mouth.
I am not leaving you, Wolf.
Laughter, soft and soothing, followed with the next few words. Her amber eyes were gleaming at him.
His eyes narrowed and his lips pursed at her words, entirely enticed and tempted in the worst way then. He lifted her, a hand cupping her rear and squeezing, his mouth then at her throat. He bit it gently, VERY gently but growled his intent, before setting her down again. He brushed her nose with his, then tugged at her lip with his teeth before kissing her, a hard kiss that sighed passion inside her and then lingered so softly... before forcing himself to stop. He chuckled too as he licked his lips.
Oh you'll get paid. With interest.
He smiled as she followed him to the healing tent, only to find the old lady awake. She did scold him and swatted him, forcing him to get back into bed. Kiko only giggled, laughed as he was treated like a child and he forced an exaggerated pout. The old woman sighed and rolled her eyes, walking out. She stopped behind Kiko and turned to face her, studying her with all seeing eyes.
"I know you have not chosen him. But he has chosen well. Now see that he rests... and you do too."
The old lady winked and pulled shut the curtain to the tent. Kiko may have been somewhat surprised by the gesture but upon turning to look to Grayell.... only found him asleep.
He woke, nose to tail on the bed; furs pulled up about them. She was sound asleep, the dreams had not betrayed the vision that she was to him. He smiled already, her face held such an innocence, such a grace in her sleep that it warmed his soul. He looked at her hands, both of them clasping his, so delicate and so small in his own. He watched her breath, her lips parted... and then he sighed. Those lips had him obsessed, stirred his thoughts. He had an insatiable lust for this woman, but the feelings that stirred him were beyond physical, far more complex and yet so simple now realized that it made this new day a new start.
He kissed her lips before he slid from the bed, covering her tightly so that she might hold warmth.
When she awoke Grayell was dressed and playing with the children of the village. Zaedus was certainly of interest to the sprites, they seem quite taken with the braided hair that fell from his chin. The old Worgen pretended to scorn them, to scowl but anyone could see his eyes smiling.
The elder, Aeron spoke to them once she was prepared.
"You have a choice both of you. To remain Garou and exercise your mastery, or to become entirely human. Should you choose the latter, do not change for one full cycle of the moon. This will remove the wolf, never to return. You are immune to the beast now, it will plague you never again.
But know this. To remove the wolf will remove your choosing. This should not destroy what is between you.... but the bond will be no more.
Your horses have been loaded with our gratitude, all of you. Your accomplishment gives us hope for our kind. Be safe in your journeys... and come run with us come the spring. You are family after all."
Final words were said, some tears were spilled and finally, the trio departed for their home of Wistvale... Kiko having chosen to move in.
(All right gang, that is a wrap and I want to say thanks to both of you. Zae I don't know where you vanished to in the end but your posts were lengthy and incredible.
Kiko... well. I know that inviting you to play with us was a wise decision and I have to say, the outcome of this is incredible. I am not sure that anyone realizes this was not entirely scripted, that you had all the choice in the world in terms of the dynamic between your character and mine. Masterful writing.
I have written some very emotional stuff in the past, things that had me in tears. I have written some incredibly violent things, posts that made people squeamish. I thought that the fight with the beast was incredible, that as best I could manage it refrained from too much complexity and painted the picture of Grayell damn near dying. I am proud of it.
But it pales in comparison to the romance aspect of this story and the last couple of pages. I think that the simple kiss between Kiko and Gray has demonstrated why romance is superior to sex, why intimacy is an art form. We have some incredibly gifted writers on this website and I look forward to their efforts with renewed vigor.
You guys are great. 26 pages.
Zae, take 25 Acclaim. Kiko, you get a bonus for your first adventure and the incredible length of it, for the masterful writing. 35 points.
I will take 30. I'd like to think I did not fail a single post.
Our parting gift was a substantial amount of cash. 333 gold pieces each. Thanks again guys.)
